💭 Who knows where this will lead me; I just know everything has led me here… 🌄
It has taken a lot—arguably my entire life—for me to decide that it’s now time to focus on the creative work I’ve spent years putting aside.
I left the city I lived in for 6 years last year, and just as I’ve begun to settle into a new normal in NJ, I’m getting ready to step into unknown territory—with intention. I want to pull together the multi-disciplinary academic lens I developed during my time at Wellesley, the personal growth I’ve experience since then, and the creative work I’ve been building over the recent couple of years, and I couldn’t think of a better place to do it than in Ireland, a place I’ve always wanted to explore more extensively.
I’ve gone from working full time and trying to do arts “on the side” for years, to taking the last year to focus almost fully on my creative projects—and then again, this fall, back to working a job alongside my creative work. What I’ve learned is: to be able to be nearly 100% focused on my creative practice is a rare and incredibly valuable opportunity, and I’m currently in a place with myself where I feel secure enough to pursue it.
Whatever part of my journey you met me on, you probably can understand how blessed, grateful and ready I feel about this opportunity for both my creative practice and my personal growth. If you want to celebrate this moment (and my bday! 🥳) with a little donation, I will send you some prints as a thank you! Even if you donate less than $30, I’ll still remember your support and try to send you some kind of thank you gift :)
