The Danish west coast is a fantastic place to visit, with its vast sandy beaches and sand dunes. The wind can be a challenge when blowing from the North Sea onto land. Blåvandshuk is worth a visit.

I visited this place in summertime with my family when driving through Denmark from coast to coast. I find this place a very interesting place with many old bunkers from the war and vast sandy beaches with sand dunes as far as you can see. A wonderful place for capturing some photos as well. A challenge when you don’t always travel with you full gear. One has to work with the gear you carry with you and try not to disturb the family too much when shooting.

The grass and dunes builds such nice images as well as the summer sky with all the clouds. I like to use black & white with high contrast for most of the photos, but I also like to create “beach art” with the dunes and grass. You can read more about this in my earlier post. Of course there are a couple of color photos as well.
