These daffodils have filled me with such hope that I needed to get it down into words. Every spring since moving here I have collected asmnay of the different varieties of daffs as I can. A couple are just going over and a few of the multiples are yet to bloom but this is the magic window where many flower simultaneously. This year I count 15 different types. I cannot name a single one and don't care to. I did think about trying one year and borrowed a very large detailed book from a learned botanist neighbour but I didn't get very far. Last year, I missed spring completely. I spent most of it in bed, I think. I don't remember a lot of it. My FND was new to me then and in it's most intense phase. Rest was thought to be the best thing and I'm sure I did need rest then. Possibly burnt out. Certainly terrified and confused as my hands and limbs shook like leaves during April showers.

I have a collection of glass bottles - a few are special but most are from the supermarket and usually consumed by dust. It may just be a moment that these flowers last. But the joy for just a moment as I notice them. And then watch each of my family member's faces and share their joy, that's what I wanted to remember by writing it down. The fact little E has nicknamed them Daves; big B needed to be physically directed to see them as he hadn't noticed; Olly delighted the windowsill was clean.

Moving bits about, I was reminded of the many flower seeds that need planting. More pressure, yet something else to do but also more hope.

Hope and bugs to you all

PS: just to give the whole picture, to take this photo, I had to wipe a layer of grime and dust from the windowsill and remove the dead plants, spider webs and insects. Oh and clean the window and the containers.
