Taco salad is the OG slop bowl and the least Mexican dish of them all. It’s an American version of something Mexicans don’t eat. Somehow all white folk (like my mom) in the 90’s thought this was from the motherland but it’s actually from Texas. I want to be clear I’m not hating because this shit is good. A staple meal of my childhood and I would gladly crush a bowl any day of the week.

Whether you’re pro Taco Salad or not, this is worth making. Let’s call it a slop sandwich. The sluttiest sub of them all.
