Hello friends! Today I thought I would share a little bit about the books that I am working on writing and even share some little snippets with you for fun. It would be lovely to get your opinions, since after all, you are reading what I write each week!

Many of you know I have a Prayer Journal out now. It was something that I was wanting in my own devotional/prayer time and so out of need, I created one I use everyday. I also have written a children’s board book, a children’s picture book and I have another idea formulating for another children’s Christmas picture book! I need to devote more time to work on them and find an illustrator, publisher, agent, etc. This all takes time, but it’s been a dream of mine for a long time and one day, with God’s help, I hope to make it happen!
God has given me more of a desire to paint this year so we’ll see if becoming my own illustrator could be a possibility for those children books!
I have also written a Bible devotional and already share some of my works with you in the form of posts. Here is an example of one of them for you that was quite popular and still something to ponder:

I have written down many stories from my childhood and share some here with my subscribers from time to time. Here are some snippets from my personal memoir:
Growing up, my mom read her olive green Living Bible sitting in her thick white robe. She could make a mean watered down cherry kool-aid and had a special knack for finding the most bland red delicious apples in the grocery store. Mom was the queen of using paper plates for nearly every meal and I was raised on Cocoa Puffs cereal for breakfast. School lunches were the norm but on field trip days when I could bring my lunch, it was a bologna sandwich on white bread with mustard and a small bag of Munchos. Dinners varied and my favorites were Swiss steak and Hamburger Helper. On the rare nights we had liver and onions, with desperation in my eyes, I’d nonchalantly asked my neighbor friend if I could eat at their house. God bless you, Mrs. Jones, you never said no.
And here’s another memoir snippet:
Dad loved driving in and playing in the snow. He was always ready to take my mom, little brother and me sledding! There was a perfect sled hill behind my elementary school and we’d go there to sled down as a family. We’d bundle up and pile in his truck, the Blue Goose, and go with our wooden sleds loaded in the back. The hill led down to a small creek, that at the time, I didn’t even know had a name. The orange haze of the high school lights across the snow covered fields reflected on the sled hill providing a cozy glow. And a sweet family memory.
The idea came to me for a mystery novel and I think it could be quite intriguing! So John Grisham, if you’re reading, I think we could make a great team on this one! ;) I’ll share two “never before shared” snippets:
She was late for work that day. Driving in traffic, not stopping for coffee and a stressful meeting on her agenda didn’t help matters either! Gina hated it when her alarm didn’t go off, why hadn’t she set it the night before as she usually did? Never mind that now, she thought, she had other things to occupy her brain. A parent meeting with administration in the afternoon would foreshadow her day. She had to get her facts straight, documentation ready, and her mind clear. She needed to be on her A-game for this one!
And just for fun, another character in this ongoing to be written novel:
Tim Monroe grew up on a large farm in a small town. The oldest of three boys he excelled in school and on the farm. He was strong, smart and had a sensitive side that he rarely showed. He enjoyed the farm, farm equipment and the animals. The long days not so much, but it was all part of farming, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Tim didn’t realize how much he knew about farming until his dad got pneumonia one season. Tim had to take over the reigns and began to run the farm more efficiently, he and others thought. Months later his dad regained his strength and took the lead again. There were changes made in his absence and his dad resisted them at first but then learned that the changes were “positive changes” and accepted them over time. Especially when he saw a profit in the books that year and they hadn’t been in the black for four years!
Well, there you have it, some snippets of my books “in the works” I guess you could say.
