Learning, growing and slowing down to experience and process the information I consume has always been an important part of my life, career, and now, pregnancy.
I’ll talk more about out birth plans at a later date but suffice it to say we chose to go with providers we could learn from. I am not one to be told what to do with my body or mind. I’ve always been a free thinker, in this way, and if it doesn’t add up or make sense to me, I have found it’s typically not for me either. If one plus one doesn’t equal two, I don’t buy it. In this way, trust must be earned. I’m not just going to believe a book or a provider, I’m going to check in with myself, try it out and let it integrate if it proves to be beneficial. Taking one step at a time is easier when your whole world isn’t falling apart- but even when it is, I’ve found that taking one step at a time, more often than not, expedites the process.
With that said, these are the books and programs, I am currently working with and why.
