🍂 Autumn Days at Broken Cup Teahouse

Dear tea friends,

Happy fall! I don’t know about you, but fall always feel like such a sentimental season to me. There are lots of beautiful lines from songs and poems in Chinese about this season; here are two lines from a song that’s been on my mind lately (if you also grew up in the 2000s listening to Taiwanese pop music, you’ll definitely recognize it):

At our tea room, in step with the season, we’ve been celebrating Mid-Autumn and the spirit of gathering with loved ones all month long. Our Mid-Autumn specials — including the Mid-Autumn Tea Adventure for Two and the Mid-Autumn tea snack bento box — are available through the end of October only. One last week to experience them if you haven’t already!

We’ve just released November reservation dates and times! Please note that the tea room will only be open for regular reservations during the first half of the month. For the second half, we’ll be closed for regular reservations due to a tea trip to Taiwan (with side quests for food of course) + Thanksgiving. That said, we’re still open for private and corporate tea tasting bookings, and we also have some special events sprinkled throughout the month! Here are a few already on our calendar:

Did you know that one of our staff members, Allison, is an internationally-published author?! She’ll be leading a relaxed writing/journaling session at our tea room, and we’ll be pouring communal pots of tea to help get your creative juices flowing. There will be a light to medium amount of structure, an an optional sharing time at the end. $20/person.

Catch us at Curio Spice in North Cambridge again with new teas to sample and take home! Free and open to the public, though RSVPs are appreciated!

Two of our teas are celebrating milestones this year — our 2015 Longevity White Tea (10 years old) and our 1995 Remembrance Oolong (30 years old)! Join me for a quiet, focused tasting to savor each tea from start to finish, with attention and without hurry. Limited to 8 seats only. $55/person.

It’ll be our first time joining this awesome celebration of the magic of plants and we’re very excited to be a part of it! It also happens to fall on Small Business Saturday FYI!

We’re thrilled to introduce two new (or new to us) local wholesale partners! Have a cup of our tea with a freshly made sourdough bagel at Park Bagelry in Allston.
