Do It Scared

Chris Burkard is known around the world for his photography and his adventures to some of the most remote places on earth. But what I admire most about him is not the images or the expeditions. It is his openness. His willingness to share, to mentor, and to lift others up while making space for the next generation of creatives.

We talked about fear and risk, and how both are woven into creativity. Chris said something that has been on my mind ever since: If you are going to be scared, just do it scared. It is simple, but it cuts right to the truth. Fear does not go away. The work that matters most often carries it with it.
