Gooood afternoon! I cannot believe how emotionally attached I’ve become to the Knicks over the past few weeks. The excitement in NYC is infectious!! I might go find the guy in Bed-Stuy who’s been making airbrushed shirts this afternoon…
Between dropping the Vogue story, watching Love Island and rooting for the Knicks, it’s been the hottest, chillest week of the year for me. I did make my way out to Queens for Gov Ball on Sunday, though. I’ve said it before but getting the hell off Randalls Island and moving to Flushing Meadows Corona Park was the best thing that festival has done. It’s the perfect space for it and the grass doesn’t uproot and cause mudslides when it inevitably rains every year.
My Gov Ball schedule included Hemlocke Springs, Hannah Jagadu, Rachel Chinouriri, Slayyyter, Fcukers and, against all odds, Geese. Rachel and Slayyyter won the day for me, even though both their sets were threatened by what turned out to be a very brief sun shower. I’m not any closer to understanding what y’all love so much about Geese but it was a good note to end the day on.
Reminding once more that you can access a subscription discount through this link until Monday at midnight :).1 And like I mentioned on Wednesday, the offer for college student gift subscriptions is evergreen! Email me from your university account!
