One of the best things about the TV marketing world is the people. People who are creative, funny, and also extremely enthusiastic. There are some marketing pros who just love, underline LOVE, what they do. Lucky folks who look forward to going into work and think about it when they’re not ‘at work’. So when someone announces their retirement, it’s worthy of attention while also sad to see someone take another path. ROB THOMAS, who is currently Creative Services Director at WHNS in Greenville, SC. (Yes, you can see the station from the highway) has announced he’s shutting the door on his career. Come September, he’ll be stepping away from the kind of jobs he has cherished his whole career. He and the Mrs. will be heading to Little Rock, where he went to college and worked in TV creative at both KARK and KATV. Like most of the TV clan, he moved to different markets: Louisville’s WAVE and Lawton’s KSWO/KAUZ. But what makes Mr. T stand out is his nature photography. It’s stunning. He posts many of his shots on his FB page. You should check it out. A man of many talents will be closer to family and his adorable granddaughter. It’s what they say in Hollywood, A Wrap. Rob, it’s a major Well Dunne! Coming your way.
