Full week this time, Friday to Friday. A lot of Aspen, a lot of working from home, and a few outfits I’m still thinking about.
Before we dive in, I love a top 5 situation.
Top 5 Links this Week:
The Botox in a stick I keep talking about on stories. Have you tried it? I love it because it fills in my little wrinkles and moisturizes before makeup, but honestly I’ll also put it on after my makeup is already done. Let me know if you try it!
Have you tried these athletic Shorts from Target? They’re a MUST if not!
This La Maregold Susie Dress I wore to dinner Tuesday night.
This Vuori Windbreaker that is the perfect lightweight layer for summer and going into Fall.
Still using this thermal curling brush almost every time I do my hair. It adds a little bounce to my blowout without me actually having to curl anything or spend forever trying to get the blowout perfect. Low effort, looks like effort.
Okay now for the full week roundup! Let’s go.
Friday
Starting on Friday because that’s exactly where last week’s roundup left off.
I still had my kids on Friday, so we spent the morning at the house doing nothing in particular. They love “chores,” which is a phase I fully intend to exploit for as long as it lasts, so we power washed the back porch together. Very little of the porch got cleaner. Everyone was soaked.
I wore this set from Form, which I’d never tried before. The double layered tops are the thing that got me, and I went back and forth on a few styles before landing on this one. Chocolate brown, so it’ll carry me into fall without me having to think about it.
The hero of this outfit is the windbreaker! I saw this at Nordstrom a few weeks ago and didn’t pick it up. But after a few weeks here with some chilly nights, I ordered it from Shopbop because it’s the perfect thin layer.

Confession: I bought this dress and this sweater specifically to go with the boots I told y’all about last week. No other reason. I saw the boots, I built an outfit around them, and I would do it again.
We went to Catch. I love their Caesar salad and I will keep ordering it, but I’ll say it: Catch is expensive for what it is. We got sat in the basement, which is fine, though I’d rather be upstairs on the patio. It was raining, so that was that. The service is always meh in my opinion too.
If you’re in Aspen and you want steak, go to Steakhouse No. 316 instead. That’s the one.
Outfit Details: Pink Knit Dress (wearing XS) // Hot Pink Cardi (wearing XS) // Miron Crosby Boots // Thatch Heart Necklace
Saturday
Went fishing with Four down in the river by our house, then spent the rest of the day at the pool.
Outfit Details: Rhone Tank (wearing XS) // Target Shorts (wearing XS) // Varley Fanny Pack // Sneakers are old HOKA!
I wore my new Montce gingham set. The bottoms aren’t as much coverage as I’d like, but I barely took the coverup off anyway, so it worked out fine. The top I love, the fit is perfect.
Two things I have to point out. This hat by Baldiz just came in and it’s better in person than it looked on the website, which almost never happens. Good structure, actually stays on my head, doesn’t slide off the second I move.
And the necklace. I’ve been eyeing Thatch seashell pendants all summer and finally committed after weeks of deliberating. Went with this Maris White Enamel one and this Marea Amazonite Shell Clip one. No regrets, both are staying on.
Outfit Details: Montce Gingham Swim Top (wearing XS) // Montce Gingham Swim Bottoms (wearing XS) // Montce Gingham Sarong // Tkees Sandals // Thatch Shell Necklace // Baldiz Rainbow Hat
That night we stayed home and did the kind of chores nobody photographs. I cleaned the hot tub, which was a disaster after having every kid we know in it the week before. Then we cooked burgers with the kids.
Sunday
We went fishing and had lunch at the River Cabin, which is a little restaurant by the river at the club my parents belong to.
Outfit Details: Vuori Shorts (wearing XS) // Vuori Matching Sports Bra (wearing XS) // Tuckernuck Knit Tank // OnCloud Sneakers // Thatch Shell Necklace // Varley Fanny Pack
Monday
Drove to Basalt Monday morning for coffee before settling into a work day at home.
I also did self tanner that morning, and it lasted the entire week. Not “still faintly there on Thursday” lasted. Actually lasted. I was genuinely impressed, which is not a sentence I say about self tanner very often.
Outfit Details: Target Pullover Tank (wearing XS) // Target Matching Active Skirt (wearing XS) // Rhone Tank // Quince “Birkenstocks”
Then I got dressed and went to Matsuhisa in Aspen that night.
I forgot how much I love the Gardener, their famous drink, and this time I got it with mezcal instead of gin. OMG. Not close. The gin version is fine and I ordered it for years, but mezcal is the one.
Also, can we talk about this chambray shirt jacket. I was not expecting to love it this much. Genuinely good Target find. It layers well but it also holds up on its own, the material is soft, and I even like the stitching, which I fully expected to be the thing I’d want to change.
Outfit Details: Lace Shorts (wearing XS) // Quince Short Sleeve Cashmere Sweater (wearing XS) // Target Denim Shirt (wearing XS) // Miron Crosby Boots // Thatch Heart Necklace
Tuesday
I restyled this brown skirt I wore with the set last week with a white tee for a more casual look.
Really had fun layering these necklaces :) I’ve been loving the comeback of statement jewelry and have lived it up to the max this summer!
Outfit Details: Smock Skirt (wearing XS) // Favorite White Tee (wearing XS) // Reformation Striped Cardigan (wearing XS) // Margaux Wrap Sandals // Thatch Heart Necklace // BaubleBar Turquoise Necklace // Amazon Sunnies
And then Tuesday night we went back to my favorite dinner spot, Steakhouse No. 316 and I wore this white dress I’m in love with styled with a vintage concho belt I borrowed from my mom.
Outfit Details: La Maregold Susie Dress // Baublebar Jane Beaded Necklace // Miron Crosby Dolly 2.0 Cream Boots // Vintage belt & bag
Wednesday
Another day working from home (go figure), but we went to the rodeo that night, which was actually my first time. More on that in a minute.
The burnt orange and chartreuse thing sort of just happened, and now I’m obsessed with it. Turquoise would have been the obvious move with this dress and it would have looked great, but I like this better because you don’t see it coming.
Outfit Details: Lebop Maxi (wearing XS) // Margaux Woven Flats // Baublebar Jamie Semi-Precious Beaded Necklace in Red Jasper
Then the rodeo. First Snowmass Rodeo!
We ate at Venga Venga in Snowmass beforehand, which might be the best Mexican food I’ve had all summer. And I do not say that lightly. Ran into friends there, and I got interviewed by Well Dressed Aspen, which was so fun. She was so sweet!
I can’t wait to take the kids one day. We haven’t gone yet because every single time I remember to buy tickets, they’re sold out. Next Wednesday won’t work either, it’s Lele’s birthday and we’re doing something for her, so I’m going to keep failing at this a little longer.
Outfit Details: Staud Blue Mini Dress (wearing XS) // Miron Crosby Boots // Similar Cowboy Hat
Thursday
No idea what came over me, but I was wide awake at 2:30 AM Thursday and could not get back down. My brain would not slow down. I tried all my usual things, worship playlist, audiobook, laying very still and hoping. None of it worked.
Three hours of sleep. Spent Thursday as a zombie and got a nap in to try to claw something back.
I did go into Basalt and have a nice breakfast at Two Rivers Cafe, which was the perfect setup before catching up on a little bit of sleep.
If you’re a new customer, you can use code BRIGHTON20 for 20% OFF. If you’re new around here, I’m always wearing Rhone and love their 3-piece sets!
Outfit Details: Rhone Shorts (wearing XS) // Rhone Matching Windbreaker (wearing XS) // Rhone Tank // OnCloud Sneakers // Dream Boat Oversized Sunglasses / Clare V oversized woven fanny
Friday
Guess what? Yes, more WFH. I’ve been grinding so hard this summer getting all my behind the scenes stuff worked out. I also have been working on the budget for the new house as we get new invoices and whatnot in.
Set by Eleven Eleven - top and shorts.
Waited until the absolute last minute to get ready for a party Friday night and I was not feeling it. Changed my outfit probably four times. Hated everything.
Ended up in this Saylor dress with my new boots and a turquoise necklace (it’s my mom’s). I forgot my hat, which would have finished it, but the burgundy and turquoise together is so good and I ended up genuinely happy with it despite being in a full funk about it ten minutes earlier.
Then I checked my Oura ring, saw I was in my luteal phase, and everything about my attitude that day suddenly made sense.
That’s my week! Wow that took a minute to put together but I always enjoy putting everything in one spot!
Until next week!
