I flew out to LA for an Amazon event leading up to Prime Day, basically to get a look at what’s getting marked down at the end of the month (I took notes, you’re welcome). And already added a few things to my cart to get ready like this updated version of my WetDry Vac (currently on sale)! I also got to see a few friends I don’t get to see nearly enough and met some new ones too (one of my fav parts of these events)!
Everything we wore had to be from Amazon….and I don’t usually do it that way. I mix Amazon into what I already own so it still feels like me, but pulling together full looks from one place turned out to be a genuinely fun challenge. And getting to dress up was a breath of fresh air (since all I have been wearing lately is lounge/athletic wear)
And next week, I’m so excited to be going to the Bahamas with Lally. I already know I’m going to try to learn some of the dances I’ve been saving while I’m there, which means I’ll be the one off to the side focusing very hard for two hours bc these things take me a minute. they always have.
Also means I put in another Amazon order (more focused on beach wear)
Everything I wore this week linked below:
A matching set is one of the best ways I’ve found to pull that off. And if I’m packing a hat? I do not travel without this hat clip. It saves me a ton of packing room (and the embarrassment of having to wear the hat the whole time just so it doesn’t get crushed).
There’s something about a really good set of pajamas that makes even a hotel room feel a little more homey. These were a favorite (and a best seller) for me last year and I don’t say that lightly bc I do have my tried and trues (like these from minnow).
I ended up working from the hotel room for most mornings. It felt like this little pocket of normalcy which I desperately need during these kinds of trips. And it was nice to have the peace and quiet to actually think and focus!
There was an event held each night and I got to play dress up! They were great and I had the best time but that also means I stayed up way past my bedtime.
Which in theory is all fun and dandy but at 36 the mornings resulted in a puffy face and tired eyes. Luckily I brought the best combo to fight them: Therabody Face Wand (w hot & cold setting) + Grace&Stella Eye Elixir.
And for every nighttime outfit there was a cute daytime outfit that proceeded it:
After a quick few days it was time to head home and I knew the plane ride from Cali to TX was going to be a longgg one so I prepared by using my new favorite eye patches (they don’t slide down the eyes)
Before traveling to Cali, I spent the weekend w my babies….which means comfy outfits. Lots of athleisure and clothes that can stretch and keep up with some crazy trampoline fun.
