We are officially two weeks into summer, which means my kids have been home every single day (all day ha) and my whole routine is quietly rearranging itself around that. I’m trying to wrap up work a little earlier than my usual, change out of whatever I filmed in, and get into actual “play clothes” (bc we are outside and usually on the trampoline or the kids pull out the hose) so I can be there for the part of the day they’ll remember (whether I’m pulling that off is a different newsletter.)
Otherwise it was a week of small, unglamorous progress. I got my hair done. I finally ran the errands I’d been putting off for, oh, three weeks. And I made roughly nine hundred trips back and forth for the new house, but we might be starting drywall soon, which is the first thing in a while that’s going to make it feel like we’re actually getting somewhere.
I’m also heading to California soon for a work trip, so I’ve been in prep mode, which for me means lots of purging (I do this almost weekly bc of my job) and outfit planning. I’ve made it through most of it except my jeans, which I keep walking past like they’re not going to still be there tomorrow. They will be. I’ll deal with them - eventually.
Anyway. Here’s what I actually wore this week, including a few pieces I keep reaching for without even thinking about it.

The pants. I almost caved and bought the Aritzia ones I've seen on every single person alive, and then I found these on Amazon instead, in a short length (!), which never happens, so I didn't even have to get them hemmed. I'm loving them so far. Wore them to get my hair done and to meet a friend for coffee, and then again later in the week (no photo though).
Also, you can’t really see it here, but this bag is beautiful and doubles as a convertible backpack! I need to demonstrate it on my stories!
Y'all went a little crazy when I wore this skirt in the coral last time (it was a monochromatic look with this matching tank), so I went looking and found a similar version on Amazon, which is what this white one is. Same idea, less commitment to one color.
This hat has been sitting in my cart off and on again for two years. I kept buying less $$$ ones that didn't survive a full season, so I finally just committed. I'll report back on whether it actually holds up and how packable it is, because every other hat I've owned refuses to go back to its original shape after being shoved in a bag. Loving it so far though.
A friend was wearing these Paige jeans a few weeks ago and I asked what they were, fully expecting some obscure answer, and turns out they're the pair everyone's been losing it over. So I had to see for myself. Now I get it. This is my first pair and I'm already waiting on a different wash to come back in stock.
Just a few of my after-five playtime outfits for cooking and hanging out with my kids outside.
The white sneakers are an Amazon find, an obvious Hoka knockoff, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
Repeat after me: we love a matching set :)

Another matching set I know I’ll be wearing on repeat because it’s so comfy, and this denim color feels like a neutral that I can pair with a lot of other colors and textures.
I had a baby shower this week, so I threw on this dress and I loved it with this new necklace that I have been raving about!
That's the week. Mostly play clothes, errands, and several trips to the new house, but a few of these I know I'll be reaching for all summer. I'm thinking I'll make this a weekly thing, so if there's a piece you want more on, just ask.
