There is something very surreal about seeing your book out in the world.
Not on your laptop, saved as Final_Final_AbsolutelyFinal_ThisOne_NoThisOne.docx but out there. On shelves. With people picking it up, flipping through the pages, perhaps even taking it home.
I keep waiting for the moment. The one that makes me realise it’s not some dream I’m going to wake up from and that it’s actually real life. That after twenty years, seventeen manuscripts and more chocolate consumed than I care to admit, I am a traditionally published author.
The Boyfriend Clause released with Text Publishing on 3rd March, 2026 and since that day it has been a whirlwind to say the least. Here are just some of the highlights from the past 2 months:
The response to Sabrina, Adam and the Fogertys has been so incredibly overwhelming and I’m loving seeing everyone’s posts, comments and messages about this book and these characters. Keep them coming. Please. It gives me an excuse to procrastinate and scroll through socials and emails.
Have you got your copy of The Boyfriend Clause yet? If not, you can absolutely get it here:
And if you already have it, and read it, you can totally give it a rating or review here:
Did you know The Boyfriend Clause is now available on audio?
Pretty cool, right? If, like me, you’re a lover of audiobooks you can totally get on your hands on it now:
Plot twist: I’m not done with you yet… there’s a new book on the way!
I can’t spill much about this new rom-com just yet, but here’s a little sneak peek:
Landing in 2027 with Text Publishing
A very swoony love interest (obviously)
Plenty of LOLs
And a first kiss that will get your heart racing
I’m already completely obsessed with this book and can’t wait to get it into your hands!
I am boarding a jet plane tomorrow. Destination? Sydney. Chances of a meet-cute at 30,000 feet? A girl can live in hope. It’s been way too long since my last NSW adventure so consider this my grand romantic return. And I’m bringing the Love at First Page tour with me! Where can you catch me and Olivia Tolich, author of Side Character Energy? I’m glad you asked!

I do have a couple more events coming up later this year and I’ll share all the details about those as soon as I can!
As a HUGE writing podcast listener, getting invited onto two of my all-time favourites felt very main-character energy. I had the best time chatting about The Boyfriend Clause and my writing journey with Nick Wasiliev from Date with a Debut and Natasha Rai from The Book Deal!
And if you are subscribed to Nick Wasiliev’s newsletter… there might be a bonus second ‘date’ where we deep dive into my love of Taylor Swift.
Haze by Sam Elliott
A page-turner that had my heart racing from the get go.
Iluka by Cassie Stroud
A look into the complex dynamics of a family dealing with loss and a secret that turns their lives upside down.
The Last Resort by Amanda Hewitt
A deliciously wonderful romance that packs an emotional punch and brings the spice.
The Housemate by Sarah Bailey
An unputdownable novel that had me racing to the end to find out just what happened to the housemates. Oh and I might have fallen in love with a man called Rusty along the way.
Law & Order: SVU has become my ‘put this on in the background while I do jigsaw puzzles on my iPad and decompress’ show.
The Other Bennet Sister might just be my new favourite show. Have I already watched it twice? Yes. Am I itching to watch it again? Damn straight. This show is an utter delight.
Below Deck Down Under, Season 4 has seen one of my favourite Chief Stews, Daisy Kelliher, ditch the sailing yacht and join Captain Jason and I am here for it.
The Valley is awful and I hate everyone on it and yet I can’t stop watching it because I do love reality trash. Please don’t judge me.
That’s all from me and now I must scurry back to my editing cave and polish up Rom-Com 2 for you all!
