Press Release: Updated Bridge Grades for 119th Congress

BRIDGE GRADES RELEASES SECOND “REPORT CARDS” FOR 119TH CONGRESS

December 6, 2025 — Bridge Grades, a non-partisan polarization report card, today released its second round of scores for each member of the 119th Congress. These updated grades are compiled based on refreshed 3rd party public data which scores how collaboratively or divisively each House Representative and Senator governs compared to their peers.

“Almost a year into this term, the grades are taking shape and it’s becoming clear which members of Congress more consistently prioritize win-win solutions through cross-party collaboration,” said Brad Porteus, Executive Director of Bridge Grades. “These days it takes guts and courage to collaborate across partisan lines. We commend Congress members who earn A grades on Bridge Grades for regularly putting country ahead of party compared to their more divisive and hyper-partisan peers.”

Bridge Grades sorts legislative “bridgers” from “dividers” based on what a legislator says (public statements, speeches, social media), and what a legislator does (authoring and sponsoring cross-partisan bills).

Updated Bridge Grades and scores for each member of the House and Senate are now live on the Bridge Grades website based on data through December 6, 2025. Scores and grades will get updated periodically through 2026 for the 119th Congress based on near real-time data analysis.

Bridge Grades was created in 2024 to offer citizen voters an alternative lens to evaluate and assess the performance of our United States legislators beyond ideology or party affiliation.
