You know that if you use a high production cold saw like the Nishjimax in your manufacturing facility it’s a game changer. The speed, accuracy, and longevity of the saw is unparalleled compared to older technology. When you use your high production cold saw with Kanefusa saw blades? It’s game over for your competition.

Recently, we had a Nishijimax Machine under power at our headquarters here in Addison, Illinois. Austin and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to record something customers have been asking for a long time, a detailed instructional video on how to change the saw blade. This is a free resource we’re providing our current and future customers so you never have to scratch your head and wonder why the new operator went through 5 saw blades in a shift.

You can also find the video on the Pat Mooney Saws YouTube Channel

  1. Engage the e-stop

  2. Wait for the light and open the outside door

  3. Take some time to clean the cutting bed of the saw including the cutting slot that the saw blade travels through

  4. Use your allen wrench to loosen the 3 bolts securing the saw blade door - unscrew by hand

  5. Open the saw door & use a wrench to remove the center bolt - this bolt is reverse threaded

  6. Remove the saw blade and wipe down all contact points inside the saw head including the blade guides, flange, and door

  7. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR OR CORROSIVE CLEANERS

  8. Take a new blade, wipe it down but leave the plastic hosing covering the teeth

  9. To make sure the blade is mounted properly, ensure the kanefusa logo is facing towards you at 12 o’clock

  10. Mount saw blade and position the pin holes to line up with the back flange

  11. Put the flange back on and hand tighten the center bolt - use the wrench at the end to secure the bolt tightly - you should not use a hammer

  12. Close the saw blade door and hand tighten the 3 bolts ensuring there are no chips or other debris in the threading

  13. Use your allen wrench to secure the bolts - you do not need a hammer

  14. Adjust or replace your chip brush

  15. Close the safety door, disengage e-stop, and double check your parameters before running the saw
