I want to use Substack as a blog, a daily blog. But the problem with that is that every post is sent out as an email to my subscribers, like a newsletter.
That’s supposedly the whole idea of this place: newsletters. But who wants to be hit with a “newsletter” a day from me, when the news is that I’m due to go for an eye test or that I’m taking back a telly I bought.
Well, I can switch it off.
It means that folk won’t get emails, or updates in their inbox, or push notifications in the app (I don’t know if it does that). So there’s no chance of that annoyance.
The downside is that less people (I’m not saying fewer) will know about the posts.
So, I’ll switch it off and see how it goes. If it ends up with hardly anybody reading, then maybe I’ll start bugging you again.
