Seven years ago today,
I sent you flowers, bright on display.
You and the kids were meant to stay,
But with him, you quietly walked away.
Everyone knew, everyone but me,
But now I’m free, finally free.
The road's been long, carved from pain,
Yet slowly, I’ve begun to heal again.
No regrets for the love we shared,
For in those days, I truly cared.
Though you've kept our children away,
I trust in God they’ll return one day.
This journey was never walked in vain,
The deeds we sow are never plain.
Our kids will return with questions vast,
And I'll say, through it all, God’s love
did last.
