With all that’s going on in the middle east, I’m considering postponing my trip to Jordan in October. In fact, I’d say there’s about a 75% chance. I really don’t want to, and it’s a shame that the tourism industry of countries like Jordan are so greatly affected by something they have no part in.
But still, I’m considering alternatives - a replacement trip in October.
One of those alternatives is Kruger National Park.
Kruger is one of my favourite places for a “stress-free” safari. The accommodation is great. The rest camps are like little cities fit with pools, cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. The park is MASSIVE. And, of course, the wildlife opportunities are amazing. In fact, there was a day I saw the entire big 5 by 10 in the morning.

The dates are October 20-30, 2026. The price is still to be determined, but around 4,900 euros. It will be 2 days in Cape Town + 7 days of safari in Kruger.
Every single year my Japan trips sell out almost instantly. Japan is just such a great photo destination. There are images around every corner, and at all times of day. I’m currently on a bit of a crazy trip around the world. From Bolivia to Portugal to India then China and Australia. I’m having a blast.
Right now I’m on the India leg and it has been incredible. Actually one of my favourite trips in years. I wrote about my first impressions here on my substack. There’s no words for how this trip has been. We’ve had a fun group, great guides, and just incredible sightings. I already can’t wait to come back to India, and I didn’t think that would be the case before arriving here.
