This week saw the fourth highest total of Russian drone attacks launched on Kherson Oblast since tracking began, with 4386 total drone attacks reported by Oleksandr Prokudin – just over 300 less attacks than three weeks ago (4690) when Prokudin last reported data. In the past 77 weeks, Russian forces have carried out at least 177,709 drone attacks in Kherson Oblast.
Ukrainian C-UAS operations again intercepted 93% of Russian drone attacks this past week, maintaining their interception rate from the past month. Nevertheless, Russian forces still managed to successfully carry out 304 UAV strikes across Kherson Oblast.
Interestingly, Prokudin did not share statistics in his typical format, omitting the statistics for interceptions inside and outside Kherson Urban Hromada. This is unfortunate as it helps to further deduce changes in the tempo of Russian tactical UAV strikes by allowing calculations of successful Russian strikes. When comparing the successful strike data to civilian casualty totals, observers can see just how many of Russia’s total weekly strikes affect the civilian population.
Prokudin has now published three weeks worth of Shahed interception data, with 252 intercepted this week. Prokudin also published two new additional categories of statistics — interceptions of operational-tactical UAVs (16) and elimination of Russian UAV teams (2). We will keep our eyes on these new categories and continue to track them as long as Prokudin’s administration releases the relevant data.

On Monday, Russian forces attacked a DSNS emergency vehicle in Kherson city center with a drone, wounding a family nearby. A 47-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman, a 13-year-old boy, and two little girls (3 & 6).

At around 10:30 a.m., Russian occupiers attacked an ambulance in Dar’ivka with a drone.
The enemy purposefully aimed the drone at the team, which was doing its job and going to a call to help people.
As a result of the attack, the car suffered extensive damage: the side window was broken, the body and doors were cut by debris, the wheel and other elements of the vehicle were damaged.
On the west side of Kherson city, Russian shelling wounded a 43-year-old woman in Korabelnyi Raion. A Russian drone attack in the same area wounded a 59-year-old woman.

In the morning, the Russian occupiers attacked the Korabelnyi district. They targeted residential areas. As a result of this shelling, a fire broke out in one of the private houses. The neighboring one was also damaged.
Social workers of the Kherson City Military Administration provided the victims with consultations and attracted the necessary resources to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack.
The team of the “Peaceful Sky of Kharkiv” charity foundation began work on preserving the roofs. Volunteers of the “Spravzhnyi” charity foundation cleared the damaged house. A 43-year-old woman was injured as a result of this enemy strike. She was provided with medical assistance.
In the villages to the west of the city, Russian shelling wounded a 53-year-old male employee of the Kherson City Administration in Zymivnyk. In Pryozerne, a Russian drone strike wounded a 58-year-old woman.
On the east side of the city, a 60-year-old man was wounded by a Russian drone attack in Dniprovskyi Raion.
In the center of Kherson city, a Russian drone strike hit a car, killing a 50-year-old man and wounding three more men (36, 44 & 48).
To the northwest, Russian shelling wounded a 48-year-old woman in the village of Nadiivka. In the villages to the west of the city, a 39-year-old man was wounded in Bilozerka by Russian shelling, while a 52-year-old man was wounded by a Russian drone attack in Komyshany.
To the northeast of the city, a Russian drone strike wounded a 55-year-old man in the village of Dariivka, located along the Inhulets River.

At 7 AM on Wednesday morning, a Russian drone struck a public bus, killing an 18-year-old girl and a 55-year-old woman and wounding at least 12 more civilians. Among the wounded were three men (36, 52 & 60) and nine women (33, 52, 53, 53, 54, 55, 57, 71 & 73). The 73-year-old woman is a local doctor. Both Prokudin and the local detachment of Patrol Police released footage of the aftermath.

The 18-year-old girl, Svitlana, was on her way to enroll for classes in school, but was tragically killed in front of her mother. Svitlana wished to study Japanese language and aspired to translate Japanese anime into Ukrainian.
Later, a Russian Shahed-style UAV struck a building in the city center, killing a 64-year-old woman and wounding another 28 civilians. 8 men (24, 25, 26, 28, 40, 41, 58 & 60) and 20 women (24, 26, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 41, 45, 55, 59, 59 & 64) were wounded, including 7 women between the ages of 23-47.

Today, in the middle of the day, the Russian occupiers attacked the center of Kherson with a Gerbera/Shahed strike drone.
As a result of the enemy drone hitting the building, a fire broke out, which was extinguished by the State Emergency Service specialists. Also, the blast wave and debris broke out windows in neighboring houses.
As a result of this attack, one woman received injuries incompatible with life…
Russian shelling in the city center also wounded a 23-year-old policewoman. A drone strike on a civilian car in the same area wounded a 36-year-old man. In the Tavriyskyi district, a 36-year-old man was wounded by a drone strike on a civilian car. To the east of the city, a 22-year-old man was wounded by a drone strike in Inzhenerne.
On the west side of the city, a 44-year-old woman was wounded by Russian shelling, while a 50-year-old woman was wounded by a drone strike in Korabelnyi Raion.
To the west of the city, Russian shelling wounded a 55-year-old man in Bilozerka and a 52-year-old man and 54-year-old woman in Komyshany.

In Kherson city center, a Russian Banderol rocket-UAV struck a civilian medical facility, killing a 63-year-old doctor of infectious diseases, Serhii Dmytriyev, and wounding two more medical personnel – a 57-year-old female nurse and a 61-year-old male doctor.

This is what the hospital in Kherson looks like now, which was mercilessly attacked by Russian occupiers today.
As a result of the hits, one of the buildings of the medical institution suffered significant damage. Dozens of windows and doors were broken, the roof, facade, wards and doctors’ offices were damaged.
The shelling caused a fire, which, despite the threat of repeated Russian strikes, was quickly extinguished by rescuers.
Unfortunately, this cynical attack ended the life of a 63-year-old doctor who helped others until the last.
Russian milblogger Osvedomitell Alex later released footage of the strike. He claimed the munition used was an S8000 Banderol jet-powered drone-missile, manufactured by Kronshtadt JSC with an array of Chinese and Western alliance components. Strike against enemy air defense systems with the heavy Banderol UAV.
The Banderol is a compact loitering munition, a hybrid of a kamikaze drone and a cruise missile. Powered by a turbojet engine, it has a range of up to 500 km and a speed of approximately 500–650 km/h.
The Banderol drone-missile has the following features:
Specifications: Fuselage length: approximately 5 m, diameter: 30 cm, folding wings and stabilizers. Warhead weight: up to 115–150 kg (explosives: approximately 50 kg).
Guidance system: equipped with a Kometa-M8 satellite navigation antenna, which allows for flight correction and effectively penetrates electronic warfare (EW) zones.
Method of use: launched from heavy unmanned aerial vehicles (such as the Orion/Inokhodets) or attack helicopters (such as the Mi-28N). Due to their high speed and low-altitude flight, these munitions are difficult to intercept with small arms or conventional air defense systems.
Many interesting developments have recently been introduced, including some that will be used for the first time in the siege of Ukrainian cities. We will be the first to observe the evolution of UAV technology in trench warfare.

At 2 PM, a Russian drone strike hit a civilian car near Independence Square, killing 41-year-old volunteer, Ivan Cheremisin. Another drone strike in the area wounded a 58-year-old man.

At around 2:00 p.m., Russian terrorists struck a car with a drone in the central part of Kherson.
A 41-year-old city resident was seriously injured. Despite all the efforts of doctors to save his life, the injuries proved fatal.
On the north side of the city, a Russian drone strike wounded a 61-year-old woman in Pivnichnyi Raion and another drone strike wounded a 49-year-old man.
In the villages to the west of the city, Russian shelling wounded two women (77 & 74) and a 75-year-old man in the village of Zymivnyk. A drone strike in Komyshany wounded a 62-year-old man. Further to the north, a 22-year-old man and two women (43 & 92) were wounded by a Russian drone strike in Posad-Pokrovske.
To the east of the city, a 59-year-old man was killed by the detonation of UXO while he was mowing his lawn in Molodizhne. In Dariivka, a drone attack wounded a 77-year-old woman.
On Friday, Russian forces concentrated their fire on the villages to the west of Kherson city. In Bilozerka, Russian shelling wounded a 62-year-old man and 60-year-old woman. In Komyshany, a Russian drone strike wounded two women (47 & 72). Russian shelling wounded a 65-year-old woman and two men (60 & 70) in the same village. In the far southwestern corner of Kherson Oblast, a Russian drone wounded a 51-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman in the village of Oleksandrivka.
Inside the city, Russian drone attacks wounded a 70-year-old man in Centralnyi Raion and a 43-year-old man in Dniprovskyi Raion.
To the east of the city, drone strikes killed a 73-year-old woman in Mykilske and wounded a 36-year-old man in Antonivka.
What was once the largest poultry farm in Europe, located in the village of Skhidne, was hit by Russian KABs, destroying several buildings and igniting a massive fire.

Russian troops carried out an air strike on the territory of a poultry farm. As a result of the hit by guided bombs, a large-scale fire broke out. The flames quickly spread to the production buildings of the enterprise.
Rescuers worked in extremely difficult conditions. Despite the constant threat of repeated Russian strikes, emergency responders localized and completely extinguished the fire.
Fortunately, there were no casualties.
On Saturday, Russian artillery and tanks opened fire on the town of Bilozerka, wounding a 66-year-old woman and four police officers. Russian drone attacks wounded a 29-year-old man in Korabelnyi Raion and a 47-year-old woman in Dniprovskyi Raion.

Also on 04 July, a 48-year-old volunteer, Olena Tarasenko, died in hospital from severe wounds sustained on 24 May from Russian shelling.
In the center of Kherson city, two men (47 & 71) were wounded by a Russian drone attack. On the east side of the city, a 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were wounded by a drone strike in Dniprovskyi Raion. A 58-year-old woman was wounded by Russian shelling in Korabelnyi Raion.
In the villages to the west of the city, two women (26 & 48) were wounded by a Russian drone attack in Bilozerka and shelling wounded a 55-year-old man in Tomyna Balka.
On Monday, two DSNS demining personnel were wounded due to the detonation of UXO near Velyka Oleksandrivka.
On 01 July, Russian drone attacks wounded a 69-year-old man in Novoraisk and a 49-year-old man in Novomykolaivka.
On 03 July, Russian drone attacks wounded a 94-year-old man in Urozhaine and a 66-year-old man in Respublikanets.
This week, Russian forces increased efforts to disrupt Ukrainian agriculture, using drones and incendiary munitions to destroy the crops of farmers in Beryslav Raion, according to Beryslav Raion Administration Head Volodymyr Litvinov.

Every day, the Kherson region loses not only hectares of crops. Every day, the enemy tries to burn out people’s work, their faith in tomorrow and the future of the Ukrainian village.
We see and understand the pain of farmers who, due to enemy attacks, lose the results of their many months of work, suffer huge losses and are often left without a crop that was supposed to become the basis for the life of their families and the development of their farms.
The enemy is purposefully attacking the fields, causing large-scale fires. In the territory of Beryslavskyi Raion alone, from June 1 to July 3 of this year, almost 100 fires occurred. Behind each of them - a destroyed crop, millions in damage and another proof that Russia is fighting not only against the military, but also against the peaceful work of Ukrainians.
Every day, units of the State Emergency Service, local and volunteer fire brigades go to fight the fire. They do everything possible to save what can still be saved. But it is important to remember: no harvest is worth a human life. The enemy often strikes again, uses drones, and creates a mortal danger for those who extinguish fires.
Since January 2024, Russian military action in Kherson Oblast has caused at least 7548 civilian casualties. Of the more than 7500 civilian casualties, Russian forces have killed 753 and wounded 6795 in Kherson Oblast. Of those, 6667 are from attacks in Kherson Raion, while 881 are from attacks in Beryslav Raion.
In Kherson Raion, 614 civilians have been killed and 6053 have been wounded. Russian drone attacks have killed 264 and wounded 2969 civilians. Russian shelling has killed 334 and wounded 2924 civilians. Russian landmines and UXO have killed 12 and wounded 104 civilians. Russian large UAV attacks have killed 4 and wounded 56 civilians.
In Beryslav Raion, 139 civilians have been killed and 742 have been wounded. Russian drone attacks have killed 94 and wounded 493 civilians. Russian ballistic missile strikes have killed 2 and wounded 4 civilians. Russian shelling has killed 35 and wounded 156 civilians. Russian landmines and UXO have killed 7 and wounded 82 civilians. Russian large UAV have wounded 2 civilians. Other unspecific Russian military actions have resulted in 1 civilian death and 5 wounded civilians in Beryslav Raion.
Human Safari drone attacks have killed 358 people and wounded 3462 more across Kherson Oblast in over two years.
