Before reading, consider a donation to this fundraiser by the organization Kherson Help. They are constantly collecting donations for drone detectors to be used by the people of Kherson. These are vital systems, as the detectors allow civilians to take life-saving action to avoid being struck by Russian drone operators. Each detector is roughly $175 USD or 150 Euro. Let’s help save lives by donating to this campaign

These were an experiment according to the administrator of UAVDEV named Sergey T. He was seeking feedback from units trying out the amplifier and their effectiveness.

“I’ve been asked to write a post about Poletny amps for a while , but I was waiting for feedback from users.

Well, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive; the products work great, and they’re used a lot. I recommend them.

Plus, the guys at Poletny give a lot of bang for their buck and are very supportive, so I salute them!”

Centralnyi Raion, Kherson, Kherson Oblast

At noon, Russian forces conducted a series of airstrikes across Kherson city center, striking critical infrastructure facilities, damaging factories, and cutting power to Centralnyi Raion and Tavriyskyi Raion for more than a day. 11 civilians were wounded by these strikes, including 2 employees from one of the critical infrastructure facilities.

In the first video, Osvedomitell Alex claimed Russian forces struck the civilian postal company Nova Poshta’s warehouse in the northern industrial area of central Kherson. He claimed the area was being used by the Ukrainian military — the typical claim of all transport and logistics in the city being used for “dual-purposes.”

“Kherson. Airstrike.

Today at noon, aircraft carried out a series of strikes on enemy logistics and critical infrastructure facilities in Kherson.

One of the strikes targeted the Nova Poshta logistics hub.

We’re waiting for a movie and some dead Ukrainians.”

“Kherson. Airstrike.

On the morning of June 26, 2026, aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes in the area of responsibility of the 18th Combined Arms Army of Army Group “Dnepr” The first to be hit was the Nova Poshta logistics facility in northern Kherson. The nature of the damage to the warehouse complex at the entrance to the city, which is used for dual purposes, will be determined later, but judging by the accuracy of the strikes, everything was successful. In any case, as experience shows, it is necessary to finish off the damage. Airstrikes also hit other significant targets today, but that’s another story. 😎”

In the second video, two Russian airstrikes hit a factory on Illiushy Kulyka Street.

Situation Report

Kherson Raion

22 June

On Monday, Russian drone attacks wounded 8 civilians, while shelling wounded 1.

Roughly 25 kilometers to the northwest of Kherson, a 40-year-old man was wounded by a Russian drone strike on a car in the village of Molodetske. Another drone strike in the town of Chornobaiivka wounded a 54-year-old man.

In Korabelnyi Raion, on the west side of Kherson city, a 44-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were wounded by separate Russian drone attacks.

In the city center, three men (43, 48 & 65) were wounded by Russian drone strikes.

On the east side of the city, Russian shelling wounded an 85-year-old woman in Dniprovskyi Raion.

23 June

Russian drones attacked across the city, striking targets in Centralnyi, Dniprovskyi, and Korabelnyi Raions. A 64-year-old man was wounded by a strike in Korabelnyi Raion and a 40-year-old man was wounded in Dniprovskyi Raion. No casualties were reported in the city center.

Video: Yaroslav Shanko

“In the morning, around 7:40, Russian occupiers attacked a non-residential multi-story building in the center of Kherson with a drone. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out.

The State Emergency Service rescuers extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured in this attack.”

The next morning, Kherson MVA Head Yaroslav Shanko shared video of the aftermath from an evening multiple rocket launcher (MRL) strikes on Kherson’s Korabelnyi Raion. A 47-year-old man was killed and three civilians were wounded — a 64-year-old man and two women (37 & 62).

Video: Yaroslav Shanko

“Another Russian strike on the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. Yesterday, around 6 PM, the occupiers hit a residential area with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the attack, a 47-year-old man was killed on the spot. Three more people were injured.

One of the shells hit a private house. The munition penetrated the roof right above the bathroom. At that moment, the owners were in the next room. A man and a woman miraculously survived.

The video shows the consequences of another Russian terror attack on peaceful Kherson residents. Destroyed homes, damaged property, and human tragedies.

Russia continues to deliberately target civilian neighborhoods where there are no military facilities. Just buildings where peaceful people live. Kherson pays a high price every day for the right to remain Ukrainian.”

24 June

On Wednesday, Russian forces attacked Kherson with a variety of drones, utilizing Gerbera and Shahed drones for strikes in the city, as well as quadcopter and fixed-wing FPV drones. 18 people were wounded —- 11 from Shahed and Gerbera and 8 from quadcopters.

Russian milblogger Osvedomitell Alex confirmed Russia’s use of Shahed-type UAVs in the city and applauded their effectiveness.

Kherson.

Heavy Shahed-type UAVs have been operating around the city for several days. Their runs have been very effective. Very effective. We need to intensify our operations with these types of UAVs, especially in the northern part of the city.”

Osvedomitell Alex

To the west of Kherson, a 60-year-old couple were wounded in the village of Pryozerne. In Kherson city center, a 67-year-old man was wounded by a Russian drone strike.

In Tavriyskyi Raion, a Ternopil Patrol Police vehicle was targeted by a Russian FPV drone strike, killing 35-year-old Police Officer Ihor Kulbaba and wounding two other officers (32 & 39).

Photo: Patrol Police of Ukraine

Last night, an enemy FPV drone ended the life of our colleague, Ternopil patrolman Ihor Kulbaba.

Ihor began serving in the Ternopil region patrol police in 2016, from the very beginning of the unit’s creation. Colleagues remember him as a sensitive, sociable, and sincere man. He was faithful to the Oath, fair, responsible, and had a deep sense of duty.

During another rotation to the front-line Kherson region, Ihor performed official and combat missions together with his colleagues. It was there that his life was tragically ended by an attack by an enemy FPV drone.

Ihor is survived by his wife, 1-year-old son, and 9-year-old daughter.

There are no words that could soothe this pain.

We remember.

We will not forgive.”

Russian milblogger sadistically applauded the murder of Captain Kulbaba in his typically stochastic terroristic and genocidal manner, using the promise of video as bait for engagement. As of writing, no video of the strike was ever published.

“Kherson. Red zone.

Dual-use transport. Yesterday, our operators from the 18th Combined Arms Army of Army Group “Dnepr” dethroned a Ukrainian bastard with the rank of captain. Unfortunately, Irogyusha managed to reproduce in his 35+ wasted years, but only temporarily.

Excellent work, guys, for this you deserve an extra five days of vacation. And in general, every pig deserves a bonus.🤙🫖

Once again, we encourage you to use any equipment, as efficiency increases exponentially north of Kherson.

And of course, are you looking forward to the video?😎”

Osvedomitell Alex

In Dniprovskyi Raion, Russian drones later struck a public bus near a bus stop, wounding two men (23 & 40) who were nearby.

Photos: Yaroslav Shanko

“Public transport is again under attack by Russian terrorists. Around 12:10, a municipal transport bus was hit by an enemy drone. The bus sustained damage. Fortunately, the passengers and the driver were not injured.

A 23-year-old man from Kherson, who was at the bus stop at the time of the attack, suffered a mine-explosion injury and a concussion. He was provided with the necessary medical assistance.”

Russian milblogger Osvedomitell Alex confirmed Russian responsibility for a drone strike on a public bus in Dniprovskyi Raion. Two civilian men (23 & 40) were wounded while waiting at the bus stop nearby. The milblogger again falsely claimed the strike was legitimate, as they declare all public transport are “double purpose” and moonlight as military transports across the city.

Photo: Osvedomitell Alex

“Kherson. Red zone.

Dual-use transport. The enemy is again using buses to transport and deliver dual-use cargo.

The bus was left for inspection. I wonder who did it?😎”

Osvedomitell Alex

In Centralnyi Raion, Russian forces used Shahed and Gerbera UAVs to strike businesses and critical civilian infrastructure facilities across the city. 11 civilians were wounded by a series of Russian strikes — three women (29, 35 & 62), seven men (26, 27, 30, 35, 42, 46 & 48) and a 16-year-old boy. Three of the men were employees of a local critical infrastructure facility.

Video: Yaroslav Shanko

“After 14:40, a Russian attack drone of the “Gerbera” type attacked residential buildings in the Central district of the city. The explosion and debris shattered windows in Kherson residents’ apartments, and the facades were damaged. According to preliminary information, there were no injuries.

Social workers from the Kherson Municipal Administration promptly arrived at the scene of the attack to provide assistance to the victims and planned urgent measures for remediation.

The testimonies of residents of the high-rise building and the consequences of the UAV strike are shown in the video..”

Photos: Yaroslav Shanko

“Another Russian strike on the Central district of Kherson. Today, the occupiers attacked a critical infrastructure facility, using a strike UAV of the “Gerbera” type. As a result of the attack, many multi-story buildings and cars located nearby were damaged.

As of now, three injured employees of the enterprise are known. Men aged 30, 46, and 48 were at their workplaces during the hostile attack. All victims have been hospitalized in a moderate condition and are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Russia is once again demonstrating that its targets are not military facilities, but critical infrastructure and peaceful people who ensure the life activity of our city.”

25 June

On Thursday, Russian forces attacked the northeastern suburb of Zelenivka – no civilians were wounded.

Photos: Yaroslav Shanko

“Tonight, Zelenivka was again under enemy fire.

The Russian occupiers were firing at residential quarters. At least 4 private houses, gas and electricity networks were damaged. There was no information about any injuries at this time.

In the photo - the village after the artillery attack.”

Russian drone attacks across the city wounded 9 civilians. In Centralnyi Raion, a Russian drone skid-dropped an IADM near a hospital, wounding five medical personnel. Another Russian drone attacked a 53-year-old male employee of the Kherson City Administration.

Another 63-year-old male municipal worker was wounded by a drone strike in Korabelnyi Raion. A 61-year-old man was also wounded by a Russian drone attack in the same area. In Dniprovskyi Raion a 53-year-old woman was wounded by a Russian drone strike.

26 June

Friday began with additional Shahed and Gerbera UAV strikes on residential buildings in the city center.

Video: Yaroslav Shanko

“After midnight, Russian occupiers attacked a multi-story building in the Central district with a drone. As a result of this attack, windows were broken, cars parked near the building and the gas network were damaged. Several fires broke out. One of the cars was completely destroyed by the fire.

Local residents say that this is not the first time the enemy has attacked this area. Specialists immediately began restoring the gas supply pipes. Social workers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided the owners of the damaged homes with the necessary consultations. There was no information about any injuries from this drone attack.”

Around 11 AM, Russian forces dropped several guided aerial bombs from Su-34 bombers on critical infrastructure facilities across the city, wounding 11 civilians.

According to Kherson Police, “A critical infrastructure facility, a factory area, a car dealership, post office premises and warehouses, depot premises, a private enterprise, a humanitarian warehouse, an emergency medical vehicle, and five cars were damaged.”

Two employees, a 51-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man, were wounded by the strike on the critical infrastructure facility. Five men (19, 26, 40, 57 & 64) and four women (43, 49, 71 & 75) were also wounded. Kherson MVA Head Yaroslav Shanko reported that the strikes temporarily cut electricity supply to the city center.

Attention, residents of Kherson!

As a result of a Russian airstrike, energy infrastructure facilities in the city have been damaged. The Central District is temporarily without electricity supply.”

In Dniprovskyi Raion, a man was killed by a Russian drone strike. No confirmation of his identity was published.

On the west side of the city, a 20-year-old woman and two men (38 & 46) were wounded by Russian drone strikes in Korabelnyi Raion.

In the villages to the west of the city, Russian shelling wounded a 68-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman in the town of Bilozerka.

27 June

Saturday saw the consequences of Russian airstrikes carry over to the weekend, according to Shanko.

“Due to emergency repair work following yesterday’s enemy airstrike, there is currently no electricity supply in the Tavriyskyi microdistrict and Tekstylne.

Electricians are making every effort to restore power as soon as possible.

We ask residents to understand the situation.”

Drone strikes in the city center wounded 4 men (28, 47, 48 & 61). The next day, Shanko and the Oblast Administration shared video and photos of the aftermath of one of the strikes on a residential building.

Video: Yaroslav Shanko
Photos: Kherson ODA

“In the photo - the consequences of a Russian drone attack on a multi-story building in the Central district of Kherson.

As a result of the UAV strike, a fire broke out in one of the residences. The interior premises suffered significant damage.

A 47-year-old man was injured in the Russian attack. He received explosive and closed head injuries, concussion, as well as shrapnel wounds to the abdomen, arms, and legs.

At present, the victim is receiving all necessary medical assistance.”

In Dniprovskyi Raion, a 50-year-old woman and two men (61 & 75) were wounded by Russian drone strikes. In Korabelnyi Raion, a 63-year-old woman was wounded by another drone strike.

In the villages to the west of the city, three civilians were wounded. A 38-year-old male municipal worker was wounded by a Russian drone strike in Bilozerka. Another 50-year-old female municipal worker was wounded by Russian shelling in Komyshany. Russian shelling also wounded a 59-year-old man in the village of Zymivnyk.

28 June

Sunday began with Russian strikes on residential buildings in Korabelnyi Raion — no civilians were wounded in the district that day.

Video: Yaroslav Shanko

“Around midnight, the enemy army from the temporarily occupied left bank attacked residential quarters in the Korabelnyi District.

Many multi-story buildings were damaged. In one of the apartment buildings, up to two dozen windows were broken and balconies were destroyed.

No information about injured people was received at this time…”

In the city center, Russian shelling wounded a 43-year-old man, while drone attacks wounded two men (43 & 62). To the east of the city, a 43-year-old man was wounded in the village of Mykilske by a Russian drone strike. To the west of the city, Russian shelling wounded a 63-year-old female medical worker in the village of Komyshany.

Beryslav Raion

In Beryslav Raion, 2 volunteers were killed, 4 more were wounded, and 1 DSNS employee was wounded. On 25 June, a 40-year-old male employee of the DSNS was wounded by the detonation of unexploded ordnance in Nezlamne, a village near Vysokopillia.

The day before, a Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile targeted a volunteer humanitarian demining group of the Norwegian People’s Aid organization near the village of Petropavlivka in Vysokopilska hromada. The organization published a public statement on the incident on their website.

Denys Butsnev (left) and Ruslan Simonenko (right).
Photos: Norwegian People’s Aid

Both were Ukrainian nationals and contributed to Norwegian People’s Aid’s demining efforts in the country. Denys and Ruslan joined Norwegian People’s Aid together in July 2024, beginning their journey in humanitarian demining with a shared commitment to making communities safer.

Denys, from Dnipro, was an only child. He leaves behind his mother and father.

Ruslan, from Sumy Oblast, was an only child and he leaves behind his father.

“We are all deeply affected by what has happened. We have lost two young colleagues, and our thoughts are with their families”, says Secretary General Raymond Johansen.

Four other colleagues, also Ukrainians, were injured. Two have been discharged from the hospital while the others are still being treated. All next of kin have been notified.

Military authorities in Kherson have said through Ukrainian media that the team was hit by a Russian Iskander-M missile. Norwegian People’s Aid is still working to verify this and to establish the full circumstances of the attack. There was no active air alert at the time of the attack.

Norwegian People’s Aid suspended all demining operations in Ukraine immediately after the attack, and they remain on hold while the safety of staff is assessed. The head of the organization’s international department is travelling to Ukraine to be with colleagues there.

“Humanitarian workers should never be a target. Two of our colleagues have now paid the highest price. These attacks are becoming more frequent, and they put both aid workers and the people we are there to help at risk”, says Johansen.

They claim that there was no active air alert at the time of the strike — and based on the official Telegram channels of the Kherson Oblast Administration and the Ukrainian Air Force, this seems to be true.

It should be noted that Iskander strikes in Kherson Oblast are extremely rare compared to other areas of the front, such as Kharkiv or Dnipro. However, the lack of alert and lack of interception may be indicative of thinning Ukrainian air defense interceptor missile stockpiles and less dense deployment of interceptor systems in the Kherson Direction more generally. Rather, nearby large cities, such as Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, or Kropyvnytskyi, are more likely to be defended by such systems.

Civilian Casualties

Since January 2024, Russian military action in Kherson Oblast has caused at least 7417 civilian casualties. Of the almost 7500 civilian casualties, Russian forces have killed 742 and wounded 6675 in Kherson Oblast. Of those, 6543 are from attacks in Kherson Raion, while 874 are from attacks in Beryslav Raion.
