Pretty sure I get asked about my business finances at least once a week, if not more. I have shared a lot about my personal financial journey over the years, but I really haven’t divulged too much about the BTS of the business of it all.
When it comes to my personal finances, I am obviously pretty Type A. But my business finances? Transparently, they are nowhere near as clean. Business finances can be reallyyyyyy intimidating, and for me, it’s been a learning curve over the years. I’ve made a handful of mistakes along the way, but over the last few years, I finally feel like I have a really good system down where I am not stressed about monthly fluctuations and I’m able to give my accountant clean data for tax season.
If you are self-employed, or even have a side business where you are earning extra income, I think you will find this breakdown helpful. Remember though, I am NOT an accountant, and if you have specific questions, you need to contact a professional (not me, because I can’t and won’t answer them).
