Final update before our launch event

Good evening everyone. We hope you’ve had a restful weekend 🙂

We are now less than two days away from the official launch of Brain Cancer Justice!

As a recap, we’re holding our event in Parliament Square this Tuesday 9 September. We’re excited to see many of you there!

Ahead of the event, we just wanted to share some final updates and reminders to help those of you attending in person.

1. Expect travel disruption 🚇

Unfortunately, the London Underground strikes are going ahead this week. On Instagram, we shared some tips on alternative ways to reach Westminster earlier today. See our post here.

If in doubt, we would advise using Transport for London’s route planner. Or, the free app/website CityMapper is helpful.

2. Plan for the weather 🌦️

Here’s a snapshot of the BBC’s latest prediction. Hopefully, it will be dry. Though, we’d recommend you keep an eye on it before leaving home.

3. What to wear 🥼

Speaking of the weather, as a reminder, we are asking those who have lost someone to wear black, and those who are living (or representing someone) with the disease to wear white/cream. For those who are supporting, you will be given a flower to add to your top.

Our purpose is to have a real impact on the day, so we are asking those who can participate (those wearing white, cream, or black) to bring the mask that was used in radiotherapy by themselves or a loved one (if you still have it and are comfortable doing so). We’re aware that not everyone will.

If you don’t have (or feel comfortable bringing) a mask, bringing a picture of someone you lost would be really powerful too.
