Hillsdale College Online Course: The Genius of J.R.R. Tolkien

I wanted to wait until after the Fourth of July to announce this, but I'm extremely proud to announce that I'll be teaching a Hillsdale College online course on J.R.R. Tolkien. This is really a dream come true, and I can't thank President Arnn, Doug Jeffrey, and Jeremiah Regan enough. I'm thrilled to be working with them. At this point--though it has yet to be decided--it looks like I'll give 10 lectures: 2 on the Silmarillion, 1 on the Hobbit, 6 on the Lord of the Rings, and one to sum them all up. Filming should begin in January. And, by coincidence, this will roughly coincide with the release of Tolkien and the Inklings on November 17.
