From the HarperCollins Publishers website:
“The dramatic, larger-than-life true story behind the founding of Oculus and its quest for virtual reality, by the bestselling author of Console Wars. Drawing on over a hundred interviews with the key players driving this revolution, The History of the Future weaves together a rich, cinematic narrative that captures the breakthroughs, breakdowns, and human drama of trying to change the world. The result is a super accessible and supremely entertaining look at the birth of a game-changing new industry.”

HarvardXR 2024 Extended Intelligence focuses on the convergence of AI and XR at Harvard University and beyond. Our goal is to provide a platform for students, researchers, practitioners, and entrepreneurs to discuss how XR shapes the future across different industries. We will delve into the history, present, and future of XR, and how we can leverage emerging technologies and challenges in the future.
In a fun experiment that blurs the lines between virtual reality and robotics, I, along with some fellow Boston VR members, had a blast integrating VR with physical movement in an unconventional way. Picture this: a VR headset duct-taped to a robot dog, dancing to the rhythm of Beat Saber! This hilarious and innovative test was made possible thanks to Michael Quan from 3DCowboys. A big shoutout to Gregory Osborne , @RaveGazebo, and Neo Zhou for the collaboration.
