Yay, it’s time for summer reading season! Longer days mean more reading time, right?
And there are a ton of books that will be published this summer. So I put together a handy list of 10 new books that all promise to be a great fit for book clubs. From family sagas to lighter romances to fast-paced thrillers, there is something for everyone on this list. Check out the full list here.

Which summer book are you most excited to read? Personally, I’m very curious about Whistler by Ann Patchett.
Honest Reviews and Discussion Questions
I recently finished The Midnight Train by Matt Haig, and I quite enjoyed it! It’s not a sequel to his bestselling novel, The Midnight Library, but it exists in the same universe. This one focuses on the impact of choices, both big and small. Very good read and highly recommend. Check out my review here. And my book club questions here.
About 80% of the way, I was all in on My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney. But man, throw in the reveals and twists, and it completely went off the rails for me. I understand that’s something to be expected in these kinds of stories, but it really didn’t work for me with this one. Have you read it yet? Check out my review here and my book club questions here.

Up Next
After reading some heavy fiction, I’m ready for Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan. The story follows Dolly, a single mother who returns to her hometown to help her family. She meets Stewart, who is trying to change his image in order to take over his family business. He offers to help Dolly with her family’s home if she pretends to be his girlfriend for the summer. She agrees, and soon sparks will fly.
I also plan to read The One Day You Were My Husband by Rosie Walsh. In this part mystery, part love story, Carrie and Jonah are set to marry after a whirlwind romance. But suddenly, a group of armed men takes Jonah away, and she never sees him again.
Twelve years later, Carrie is married to Robin and has six-year-old twins. But when she stumbles on an online post detailing that Jonah escaped, she becomes obsessed with wondering what happened all those years ago.
Both of these are on my summer list, too!
Happy reading! Be sure to let me know what you’re currently reading. I’m always here to discuss books!
