What's In My Makeup Bag

If I had to rank which questions I get asked the very most, what’s in my makeup bag is definitely in the top five, so here we are.

Just like everything else, I’m pretty particular about what goes on my face. We saw this with my skincare routine, and honestly, makeup is not so different. After years of getting glam done and too many hours on the internet, I not-so-accidentally learned how to do my makeup properly. Genuinely, thank god for TikTok on that front.

Let me just say that with the power of TikTok, there really is NO EXCUSE to be bad at makeup. Like sure, we don’t need to be makeup artist status, but we can get pretty fucking close if we really tried. I used to not be so precious about it, but now with all of this newfound knowledge, I’ve gotten PRETTY DECENT at getting my makeup to a place I’m happy with. INCLUDING when I do it myself for nights out. The eyes still need some work, so tackling some individual lashes to bring up the hoodedness is my next feat.

I also must mention that I’m so grateful to all the brands that so kindly choose to send me their products. I actually feel like a kid in a candy shop over here testing and playing and subsequently giving a coveted spot inside of my makeup bag to the products that check all of my boxes.

The gist is, right now, my vibe is very much less is more. Across everything I have started to lightly shop for my summer plans) So what you’ll currently find in my makeup bag is concealers and foundations that MATCH MY SKIN TONE, cool-toned lip and eye products (orange/coral-leaning lip liners are my nemesis), and products that give an overall fresh (attainable???) look that gives, “my kids let me sleep in late this morning,” ya know???
