OKAY HI. Sunday letters will only get pushed due to VACATION… and as you guys know I was was on a little family trip for Spring break, I NEEDED IT. But now we’re back with our regularly scheduled program and it’s time I show you guys what I wore this trip. I will be honest I had an entire suitcase packed with such cutie fits but this trip really ended up being VERY low key, so those outfits now just get pushed out to summer vacation.
The kids had spring break (for literally what felt like 100 days) so we decided it was time for a quickie family trip to one of our favorite spots, Las Ventanas al Paraíso in Cabo. It was so CHILL and fun and I’m always so thankful when we get that time together. I really needed to unwind and not be consumed by anything.
We obviously enlisted Susan to come as a babysitter (thank god). She did just get back from a month away, my grandmother turned 101(!!!!!!!!) so she went to Switzerland to celebrate. She was due for some proper grandparenting!! I will say regardless of her coming, the kids were STILL jumping on our bed at 6am because that is who they are. It was in those moments (and in those moments alone) that I regretted the 9 blended skinny margaritas from the day before (BLENDED NOT JUST FROZEN) and the three glasses of red wine at dinner.
This really was one of those trips, I fully needed to turn my brain off and not do one single thing. I sat, I ate, I swam, I looked for seashells with the kids, we made smores, and then I sat some more. You know what I didn’t do though? Sleep in. If you don’t have kids, just know that the sleeping-in dies the second you get pregnant. IT DIES.
The initial plan was to be a bit more active, but the second we landed I knew that was absolutely not going to happen. Jordan and I went to dinner together the first night and I wore the same outfit I traveled in if that tells you anything. The rest of the weekend consisted of bikinis, not a single ounce of makeup, I repeat, NOT A SINGLE OUNCE, LOTS of sunscreen (this one for face, this one for body), Row in bedazzled goggles, sandals, and lots of Renggli and Khaite cosplaying as cover ups (I don’t love regular coverups). You get the vibes.
