Happy Friday. We just had round one of an Omakase brand sprint approved. No notes.
Chalk it up to two things:
1. Really strong work
2. Lots of time spent in the kickoff workshop
I’ve been on about the workshop before. But this reaffirmed that the workshop does three key things:
1. Figuring out if client has a clear idea/vision, and if so, sussing out what that vision might look like
2. Setting up the client for what they can expect to see when you present the work. Ensure there's only pleasant surprises and nothing jarring
3. Eliminate any wasted time exploring possible directions that are probably not going to land anyway
Long Aisle
Sneak peek at a brand we’ve been working on and slowly rolling out for Lucas Ballasy’s new CPG podcast, The Long Aisle. The trick with a podcast site is you kinda need a few episodes in the bag before you can launch, otherwise it looks empty. (Site launching next week).
The logo is primarily a wordmark but we also created this little modular symbol that’s a proportional view down the aisle of a grocery store. Squinting may be required:
Sensory Links
Visual — Recently discovered some of my favourite album covers are the work of Polish born, NYC based, graphic designer & illustrator Stanisław Zagórski
Sound — The Blue Yusef Lateef
Open to conversations
For founders and teams ready to evolve, Bolster provides Design that helps them see, shape, and signal what comes next. We start talking very early and sometimes work incrementally to support on new endeavours well before they launch. Hit us up if you’d like to have an exploratory conversation.
