Bohemia, Czech robots, LSO, & early conversations

I’m writing this from a train in Czechia, heading south from the capital, to Bohemia, where we’re visiting my wife’s family. I’m on my way back there after a quick trip to Prague to see the London Symphony perform in a rare guest spot at the Czech philharmonic.

While in the city I visited DOX museum and managed to connect with some design people, including folks from Big Time (formerly RVLT Digital) — a Prague-based marketing and ad agency doing full-service work for mostly B2B corporate clients. Interesting to chat about the challenges of doing a full scale, in house rebrand of a well established agency.

Skillsbridge

Freshly launched: Skillsbridge.ai.. We first met the Skillsbridge team over a year ago and have been in conversation ever since as their product found its shape. The launch is the culmination of a new visual identity and brand strategy built to clarify exactly what they do and why it matters. The through-line across the brand: AI not as a replacement, but as a force multiplier for human capability. Transforming both the work and the people doing it.

Brand for Skillsbridge.ai

Sensory Links

  • VisualJosef Čapek was a Czech painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, and writer. His brother, Karel, was also a writer and coined the word robot.

  • DigitalFramer 3.0 launched. We’re testing it now to see how it reshapes our workflows and the broader process of building sites. For anyone looking to vibecode something, this seems like a far more sensible entry point than a general-purpose code tool.

  • Sound — I was lucky enough to see the LSO perform Sinfonia da Requiem by Benjamin Britten to mark the 50th anniversary of Britten’s death. One of those moments where the air in the room changes.

Keepin’ it conversational

Possibly you’re toying with an idea or thinking of a new thing. Maybe it’s way way down the road. Or maybe you know someone doing something interesting who could use some design advice. We start talking very early and sometimes work incrementally to support on new endeavours well before they launch. Hit us up if you’d like to have an exploratory conversation.
