Hi friends!

Last week Friday, I had the pleasure of speaking at The Cranford Bookstore NJ, hosted by its incredible owners, Kate and Lauren. It was everything you’d hope for in a space like that—warm, intimate, and filled with thoughtful conversation.

I had the chance to sit down with my friend and fellow author, Kimberly Brown, and we talked about what doesn’t always get said out loud: career growth, building wealth in real life, and navigating the in-between stages that so many women find themselves in.

Not the polished version but the real version.

Thanks for reading Bola Sokunbi! This post is public so feel free to share it.

And what made the night even more meaningful was the room itself.

Women who showed up open, curious, willing to share their stories, ask questions, and really reflect on where they are and where they want to go.

An amazing night at The Cranford Bookstore

That kind of energy? You can’t manufacture it.

It reminded me of something I say often, but don’t take lightly: Wealth building isn’t just about numbers—it’s about community, perspective, and the spaces we put ourselves in. It’s also a big part of what I explore in my new book, Clever Girl Millionaire.

So to everyone who came out—thank you. Truly. It meant more than you know.

And I want to say this, because it’s easy to overlook:

If you have an independent bookstore in your area, support it.

Places like this aren’t just about books. They’re about connection. They’re where conversations happen, ideas are shared, and moments like this are created.

They matter more than we realize.

Already looking forward to the next one.

Thanks so much for all your support,

Bola ❤️
