If you’ve been keeping up with my campaign for Congress, you’ve probably noticed that we often talk about TX-15 being the most flippable seat in Texas.
It’s true. We’re gaining ground fast here.
And pundits are starting to take notice.
Earlier this month, a new poll came out showing me 2 points ahead of Republican incumbent Monica De La Cruz. Shortly after, the latest FEC filings showed I outraised her for the very first time since we launched this campaign.
Then, The Cook Political Report shifted their rating of our race in Democrats’ favor: from Likely Republican to Lean Republican.
This district went for Trump by 18 points in 2024. It’s no small thing that we’ve turned it into a competitive race.
None of this happened overnight. It started with me setting my music career aside, after 30 years of touring and even winning a couple of Latin Grammys.
Early on in this race, Monica De La Cruz took a cheap shot at me and said I belong at quinceañeras, not the halls of Congress.
So, what did I do?
I packed my schedule with performances at quinceañeras. Good food, music, dancing, sure, but also an opportunity to put this election on people’s radar.
Now, after months of connecting with voters, pounding the pavement, even opening a field office in Edinburg to bring this community together…
The tide is turning here in South Texas.
Gracias por todo,
Bobby Pulido
