By now, you probably know about Jones Road’s new Body Collection. What you probably don’t know is we almost couldn’t launch it. Here’s the story:
First, let me tell you a little bit about this body collection. I wish you could smell it through the screen. It smells so good. It’s luxurious. It’s amazing for dry skin. You don’t need a ton of it and it just glides on and feels so good.
When we first got the product in, we were SO excited. We opened the boxes, and, well, guess what? It somehow went into production without the correct copy. I guess it’s called Lorem Ipsum? I don’t know who Lorem Ipsum is or what it even was. It kind of sounds like someone I went to high school with. Turns out it’s actually a dummy copy that you use as a placeholder before filling in the final text.
So, we all said “So What, Now What?”
I would have shipped it, but the team panicked and they somehow figured out how to redo it. In the end, it was launched with the right copy, but I’m lucky I’ve got the original one.
I can’t wait to hear what you guys think of the collection. I’ve loved all the early comments from all of our influencers that have tried it and loved it, but of course it matters what you all think.
Shout out to the team for not panicking too much and getting this done the right way. I think we did a great job.
