Morning Gratitude Reflections on the Messages that Surround ME

Late night, early rise with the sun splashing the mountain peaks…. coffee made with normal ritualistic precision poured into a South Salem Auto Care mug…. I would assume a free give away…. coffee tasted wonderful as I read the mug’s inscription and website address… I am not sure if this is a distraction or an awareness moment?…. moved towards my meditation sitting with the advert distraction embedded in my mind…. coffee, mountain air, sunlight, meditation, Auto Care Mug…. Life is Good

But I reflect on the media’s continuous stream of algorithm targeted advertising that is strategically placed into my line of sight…. and your feed, my feed, and everyone’s feed is customized, simply amazing…. it’s like the advertising world can read what my meditative mind is exploring, it can follow my eye movements, listen to my speech and in the blink of an eye change what appears on my coffee mug…. no need today for an auto repair, thinking about your aging roof, bingo, roofers appear on your mug…. modern technology is amazing and scary at the same time…. well, I know I have everything I need in this moment, meditative sitting confirms my peace of mind…. and as I exit this word document the advertising professionals will attempt to convince me otherwise….
