Hi!

I am currently “home” at my Mother-in-law’s house in Indiana. My feeble attempts to send you a letter were thwarted by the abysmal internet situation. My hubby has begun a new consulting contract, requiring his full attention and internet speed. I am on borrowed internet time, but I wanted to pop in to say “hi”.

On Wednesday, July 22, we left the watery season of Cancer and entered the fixed fire sign of Leo. This season will take us to August 22, and offers us the opportunity to tap into the compassionate heart of the lion.

All of the energetic qualities of Leo are amplified as Jupiter crossed into the house of Leo for the next year. To further complicate and add to the energy at this time is the astrological display in the current sky.

I am following along with Hellenistic astrologer Adam Elenbass at Nightlight Astrology. The podcast isn’t loading…but the website will take you there.

To stay grounded and calm my nervous system, I am relying on my practices to support me. My yoga mat is calling me, and my little meditation alcove awaits my presence. I am heading out of town for a couple of days with Rob. We are driving up to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to enjoy a Brewers baseball game. We are joining Rob’s brother and his wife to watch and cheer for her son, Chad Patrick, to pitch. The last baseball game I attended was the beloved Cubs at Wrigley Field over thirty years ago when we lived in Chicago. As a huge baseball fan, Rob is thrilled to sit in the “special” family section and hopefully meet some professional baseball fans. My basic knowledge of baseball came from watching my boys play for a couple of years.

Saturday morning, Rob and I will drive to Chicago for a wedding in the city. Rob’s fraternity brother's wedding will gather his friends together for a night of celebration and connection. I packed my dancing, sparkly ballet flats along with my running shoes. Since we are spending the night in downtown Chicago, I plan to wake up early to enjoy a long walk, maybe run, along Lake Shore Drive. The paved scenic path winds its way along the shore of Lake Michigan. Years ago, Rob and I lived one block from the Lake, and I spent most mornings navigating the streets and path.

Rob is hovering over me, so my time is up.

Thank you for being with me and joining me on this journey of mine. Moving through the energy of Leo Season, amplified by the movement of the planets in the sky, may feel overwhelming. Please, take good care of yourselves. Visualize the lions, lying and lounging in the hot sun. Take cues from them; rest and nourish yourselves with water, food, and companionship.

Connect to your heart, and share that love with others through kindness and compassion.

Hopefully, I will return to the mountains next week. I will be sending out a special letter from Blythe Spirit’s Whisper from the Woods newsletter next week, in preparation for the Full Moon on Wednesday. If you want more specific support and information about this special Moon, sign up for my newsletter.

Talk to you soon!

❤️ Blythe
