Blythe Edwards · Mountain Hideaway

Hi!

How are you doing today?

I am celebrating on the porch, despite the sweltering heat. I’m anxiously waiting for the sun to dip behind the tall trees in the west, blocking me from the sun.

Despite the heat, I made a cup of cacao and settled myself in front of my altar in my sacred space. The flowers and ferns were picked this morning after a brisk walk this morning up and down the driveway. I am pausing to celebrate all the creative projects, people, and time that have held my attention and energy lately.

The Mountain Hideaway emerged from a deep desire to connect and share with others. Despite the quiet, beautiful, and magical place within the Hideaway, it can be too quiet. I saw an opportunity to invite people into my space to invite them in to step away from their busy lives, not to escape but to take a moment to pause.

I see this as a sacred pause, not another thing to add to a list, but to take time for yourself. You matter. What do you love? What do you know that even is right now?

We are constantly bombarded with posts, offers, and products that promise to make us thinner, smarter, more organized, richer, and healthier. It’s all exhausting and stressful.

Here in the mountains, time slows down; the sun rises slowly, creating a safe, quiet container to greet the day, mindful and intentionally.

It’s an invitation to step inside, to slow down, breathe, open up to new possibilities of self-discovery, play, joy, and wild magic.

Cancer Season invites us to feel into what home means to us through our bodies, physical homes, environments, and our sense of abundance.

During Illumination: A two-week immersion to your inner wellspring of wisdom, hosted by Laura Durban I envisioned and created my inner temple. The daily visualizations and insights offered a framework to add to my existing morning practice. Creating time and space to find my center is a foundational practice for me.

There are many aspects of home we can discuss and play with. Come join me Monday!

After this weekend’s intense conjunction of Mars-Uranus in Gemini, the unpredictable energy may bring sudden breakthroughs and unexpected changes in our lives.

On Monday at 10:00 am EDT, we will meet for an hour to feel into the idea of Home in our lives. It will be a chance to pause, connect, and play with simple art supplies.

Supplies:

  • Paper

  • Old magazines, scrap paper, notecards

  • Glue stick

  • Pens

As we move through Cancer Season, let’s gather in community to connect, create, and share.

A recording will be provided if you are unable to attend.

Off-recording opportunity to speak into the circle. ❤️

Welcome to my playground on the web, Blythespirit.co.

I created it just for you.

No, it is not done. No, it is not perfect. Yes, it is a creative project.

I am creating my website and business slowly and intentionally. Instead of waiting for perfection, I am sharing it with you now. I would like you to join me on my next adventure. Bookmark the page, and come back often. I am crafting my home along with Lauren Barber and the lovely women in the Hearth.

I am thrilled that it is live. I am no longer waiting to be ready. I am showing up, as I am, and inviting you into my world.

Blythe Spirit is an extension of my presence in the Mountain Hideaway. I will discuss and share more about my passion for yoga, breath, and meditation. I hope to extend a variety of opportunities to learn and grow together with you. I will host more visual journaling workshops and classes once I complete my facilitator training with Lisa Sonora. I’m filling notebooks with ideas and invitations for future online gatherings. Feel free to reach out with your ideas too!

Blythe Spirit is yet another way to share my devotion to creativity, connection, and joy.

Thank you for being here and witnessing my new endeavor. For those who have been here since the beginning, you have patiently waited to see what comes next.

I appreciate the support and kindness you have shown.

Please take care this weekend. Gather your journaling supplies and meet me back here on Monday.

Talk to you soon!

❤️Blythe
