Hi!
I am crammed between two dogs as I attempt to finish this post and send it out tonight. Honestly, I thought that there would be quiet time to craft a beautifully written piece, but the dogs had plans of their own. They wanted walks outside, fetch inside, and constant snuggling.
I am here to please.
This amazing painting hangs in the center of the practice room at the Sedonya retreat center, where I participated in the 60-hour Kundalini training, part of the 300-hour Kia Miller teacher training.
The entire painting is comprised of individual dots. While on my yoga mat and meditation cushion, I was reminded to focus on one breath, one moment at a time. She was my champion and the compassionate Mother as I moved, breathed, chanted, and meditated under her half-lidded gaze.
How often do we allow our thoughts and emotions to take us out of the moment?
Staying more present and awake to the moment is my new focus and practice.
Happy Beltane!
I completely lost track of time while away, and somehow it is already May 1st. A couple of years ago, I wrote a piece, Happy Beltane, beyond the Maypole, about the significance of Beltane and some simple ways to honor the tradition.
This year, the holiday coincides with the Full Moon in Scorpio. It is an interesting combination, as the sign of Scorpio dips below the surface and stirs up the waters. Old patterns, doubts, fears, and emotions may surface.
This is a unique opportunity to tap into the moment, be brave, and listen to what is present.
The giant red rock mountains supported me on my journey of self-discovery and deep nourishment. I came home clear, awake, and prepared to step into the next phase of my journey.
Hopefully, the dogs will allow me some time to unravel, wander the neighborhoods, walk to the Farmer’s Market, and spend time in my visual journals.
Thank you for listening, reading, and witnessing my journey. What a blessing.
I hope this moment in time is an opportunity for you to connect and be present to what is here for you.
Talk to you soon,
❤️ Blythe
