Both Joanne Hogg and Eamonn Flynn bring the flavor of Ireland to their music. The richness of a country they grew up in and embraced in music flows from their fingers and into their compositions.
Joanne Hogg is known throughout the world for her work with a popular progressive rock band Iona. She works with organizations to bring food, peace and kindness to people in need.
“Into Your Dreams” is an album of solo piano pieces that were original compositions with words. The music and her playing stand on their own making these intricately beautiful pieces perfect for a calming listening experience.
Eamonn Flynn first came to prominence playing Hammond organ and piano on the 14 million selling soundtrack of The Commitments, a film about a Dublin soul band. After moving to San Francisco in 1997 he went on to record and tour worldwide with numerous artists including Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, Elvin Bishop, Michelle Shocked, and a decade-long run with Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste. You can hear the tinge of blues in all his playing - even solo piano.
Both Eamonn and Joanne recorded these albums at our studio on the 1885 Steinway piano direct to DSD. It’s a good opportunity to hear how different pianists sound on the same piano. You can explore more of their music on these albums.
