The holiday season looms large. The busyness, consumerism, friendship, and family of this time creates a haze that is both frustrating and beautiful.

• Tom Strong Compendium- ★★★★★
  Alan Moore’s very uplifting Golden Age homage is an absolute delight. The Strong family is made up of such great characters. I’m excited a second compendium is coming.

• Top 10 Compendium - ★★★★★
  A police procedural in a city full of heroes and villains. I’m in awe at the creativity of the characters and world-building. Moore is really going for it in this story.

• The Incredible Hulk Vol. 3: Soul Cages - ★★★
  This series is all about monsters and is very well served by Nic Klein’s incredible linework.

• The Incredible Hulk Vol. 4: City of Idols - ★★★
  Continues to be a good run.

• The Incredible Hulk Vol. 5: Gods Drink Blood - ★★½
  The fill in artists hurt this run.

• Ice Cream Man Vol. 7: Certain Descents - ★★★½
  The experimentation on display is admirable even if each issue isn’t always the best read.

• We Stand on Guard - ★★★★
  Band of resistant fighters in Canada defending a US invasion for its natural resources (water).

• Spectators - ★★★★
  Absolutely wild story about the afterlife and the people who stick around to watch us.

• The Private Eye - ★★★★
  Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martín tell a gripping detective noir in a colorful alternate future state where everyone constantly wear masks to protect their privacy.

• Drome - ★★★★★
  Brilliant graphic novel from one of the best creators. Jesse Lonergan puts his storytelling chops on display with his unique brand of geometric panel layouts.

Our first ever reread. The series wasn’t completed in our first go around but now the comic is done and we’re revisiting it for the holidays.

I’m here for the spectacle. My research has told me that the best way to see the new film is Dolby 3D, ideally in a theater than can support High Frame Rate. Here is a list of those theaters.
