Ohio State has its quarterback for the Buckeyes’ 2028 recruiting class.
Christopher Vargas, who’s ranked as the No. 4 overall player in the class by 247Sports, committed to Ohio State today.
Vargas, from St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Massachusetts, picked the Buckeyes over offers from Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and Florida, among others.
The 6-4½, 195-pound Vargas threw for 2,038 yards and 24 touchdowns last year playing for former NFL quarterback Brian St. Pierre.
Vargas is the fourth commitment in OSU’s 2028 class, and all four are top-80 prospects. Wide receiver Jett Harrison, the brother of former Buckeye star Marvin Harrison, committed last month. He is the No. 16 overall prospect.
