The media made little of it, and it might have passed you by too, but a few weeks back the UN published its 3rd World Ocean Assessment. As you might expect, it contained plenty of shocking news about pollution, acidification, overfishing, marine heatwaves and more. It also confirmed a single statistic that is scary in its own right – the rate of sea-level rise has doubled in just the last 10 years.
