May is usually when TV networks announce show renewals and cancellations for next fall, and this year’s are slowly trickling out. Renewed for the 2026–2027 season: The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins (NBC); R.J. Decker, Scrubs, Shifting Gears (ABC); Boston Blue, Marshals, CIA (CBS); Best Medicine, Doc, Memory of a Killer (Fox). Regular Show: The Lost Tapes (Cartoon Network) New animated series: Well, not entirely new: Regular Show: The Lost Tapes is a continuation of the surreal Regular Show, which ran on Cartoon Network for eight seasons between 2010 and 2017. The returning voice cast includes show creator J.G. Quintel, William Salyers, Sam Marin, Minty Lewis, Janie Haddad Tompkins, and noted Trump nemesis Mark Hamill. Everyone Is Doing Great (Netflix) Season 2 premiere: If you don’t remember the first season of the comedy Everyone Is Doing Great, that’s because it premiered on Hulu all the way back in 2021. Since then, Netflix has grabbed up that season and the never-aired second, both of which will stream on May 11. The story follows a pair of former teen stars (James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti) as they struggle with life after fame. Sad-funny stuff, but probably don’t expect a third season. The Punisher: One Last Kill (Disney+) Special: Not only does Jon Berthal return as Marvel … hero? … The Punisher, a.k.a. Frank Castle, he also co-wrote One Last Kill, a one-hour one-off special obviously meant to be Pun’s last hurrah. What’s the story, morning gory? Frank’s trying to move beyond The Punisher’s vigilante-vengeance lifestyle, but a new criminal uprising in New York City forces him back in—the classic troubled man pushed to the edge play. Squatters (A&E) New reality series: Speaking of conflicted heroes, Flash Shelton is a “squatter hunter” with a “very particular set of skills” who helps homeowners reclaim their property from guests who refuse to leave—a new Dog the Bounty Hunter for the new ‘Murican economy. Shelton’s anti-squatter squad includes his adopted sister Justice (A&E has no use for real names), and Squatters will likely fall between the polarization of Live PD and the too-real hilarity of Reno 911! Since it’s been over three years since Season 2, a refresher: Aziraphale the angel (Michael Sheen) and Crowley the demon (David Tennant) have teamed up to stop the End of the World, which entails finding the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy (when Good Omens premiered in 2019, the Antichrist was a septuagenarian orange toddler—time flies yet remains static). Off Campus (Prime Video) New series: Based on the same-named book series by Canadian romance novelist Elle Kennedy, Off Campus centers on the sexy extracurriculars of an extra-good-looking college hockey team. Dutton Ranch (Paramount+) New series: Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) are on the move to South Texas in the latest spinoff from Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, which means they’re ready to settle down and mellow out, right? Like anyone would watch that. The newly arrived couple is already stirring up shit with a rival rancher over land, or horses, or whatever it takes to get the yelling, explosions, and murders rolling. Saturday Night Live (NBC, Peacock) Season 51 finale: It’s an old, old, old school SNL season finale with host Will Ferrell and musical guest Paul McCartney. Ferrell is either promoting this summer’s new Netflix series The Hawk, wherein he stars as a veteran golf pro attempting a comeback (you know, like Owen Wilson’s Stick), or his ambassadorship for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in LA (assuming it hasn’t already been canceled). Probably the golf show.

Saturday Night Live UK (Peacock) Season 1 finale: The English take on Saturday Night Live closes Season 1 with eight episodes and a 12-episode renewal for a second run in September. Saturday Night Live UK kicked off strong with a debut episode hosted by Tina Fey, but felt a bit uneven in the following weeks—just like the original American SNL did in the ’70s, so relax. The season’s closer will be hosted by actor Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education, Doctor Who), with musical guest Holly Humberstone (“Die Happy,” “Cruel World”).
