When I started this 100-day Substack challenge, my goal was to become more consistent here. I wanted to show up, write more, share my thoughts, and build a deeper connection with everyone reading my words.
But now, I can finally tell you the real reason I have not been as consistent as I wanted to be.

I was writing a book.
And in six days, I get to officially call myself an author.😭🩷
I still cannot believe I’m typing those words.
I wrote a book. My little baby that has lived in my mind and my heart for years is finally leaving my laptop and finding its way into your hands. And of course, I had to tell you about it here first because where else would I announce something this special? This community has watched me write, think, share stories, and pour pieces of myself into words. It only feels right that you get to hear about this first.😌
Writing a book is a completely different experience from anything I have ever done.
Oh, it is a lot. A lot of thinking. A lot of rewriting.
A lot of moments where you stare at your words and wonder if they are saying exactly what you want them to say.
For years, I have carried the idea of writing a self-help book for women. A book about emotions. A book about understanding yourself. A book about recognising the feelings we struggle to name and giving ourselves permission to experience them fully.
Yes, a self-help book. 🤭
I know some of you might be surprised because many of you know me as someone who writes stories. You know me for my fictional worlds, my characters, and my love for creating narratives that make people feel something.
So you might have expected my first book to be fiction.
And yeah, I understand why. 😂
But this book has been sitting in my heart for a long time, and it felt like the right first story for me to tell.
Not a story about a fictional character. A story about us. About women. About the emotions we carry, the things we experience but struggle to explain, and the parts of ourselves we have been taught to ignore.
But before anyone starts asking about Tides…
Don’t worry. 🤭 Tides is still being birthed.
If you have been following me for a while, you already know about Tides. You know how much that project means to me, and I cannot wait for you to experience it when the time comes.
But this moment belongs to Permission to Feel, Freedom to Live.
This book is the focus for the rest of this year.
This is a book I wrote for every woman who has ever wondered why she feels the way she feels. For every woman who has struggled to name her emotions. For every woman who has been told she is too sensitive, too emotional, too much, or not emotional enough.
I wrote this for the woman who wants to understand herself better. The woman who wants to stop fighting her own feelings. The woman who wants to finally give herself the permission to feel everything she has spent years suppressing.
Because emotions are not weaknesses. They are messages. They are parts of us trying to communicate. And learning how to listen to them can change the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.
I poured so much of myself into this book. Ohh, so so much!
Every chapter carries pieces of my thoughts, my experiences, my observations, and the conversations I have had with women over the years.
Writing it forced me to examine things I had never properly explored before. It challenged me. It moved me. It reminded me why I love writing in the first place.
And now, after carrying this book for so long, I finally get to share it with you.🥹
The pre-order officially begins on 18th July — yes, my birthday. 😌💅
And it will run until 5th August, when the book officially makes its way to you.
Even the cover alone carries so much meaning. I wanted the first thing you see to make you feel something. I wanted it to feel like a deep breath after a long day. Like someone finally put words to something you have felt for years but could never explain.
And that is only the beginning. The pages inside hold even more. This book is filled with reflections, conversations, and truths that I believe every woman deserves to encounter.
I genuinely cannot wait for you to read it. Six days from now, I become an author. And I cannot think of a better place to share this journey than right here, with all of you.
Thank you for being part of the story before the book even existed. I love y’all so much!😭🫂
See you tomorrow.✨
