Steven Kent Mirassou is the 6th generation of the Mirassou family that pioneered the cultivation of grapes in the Santa Clara Valley in the mid 1850s. As a direct descendent and great-grandson of second-generation Pierre & Henrietta Pellier Mirassou, he represents an enviable heritage that extends back to the beginning of California’s wine industry, though the family only switched from selling bulk wine to producing varietal bottlings in the 1940s.
