One of the most important strategies I learned about being effective was from a professor at Harvard Kennedy School. The lesson was simple. Keep your messaging short. The more important the person, the shorter the email needs to be.
There is a common saying “if I had more time I would have made this shorter”. Re-read your emails a second or third time and make it shorter. You can always make it shorter.
