Let me get straight to the point with this one: Today ONLY, for just 24 hours, you can get my recently released The Crimson Throne for less than $2! This truly is a limited time deal, so if you don’t get it now, it won’t be on sale tomorrow.
Just in case you need a little more convincing to check out this darling book of my Scottish-loving heart, let me tell you about some amazing things that have been going on lately!
First, if you were to go to Penn Station, exit near Macy’s, and stand so you can see the Empire State building, you know what else you would see?
A GIANT BILLBOARD FEATURING MY BOOK, THAT’S WHAT OMG
How is this real life?! How is this beautiful book being shown to everyone as they get out of the train station and enter the beautiful city of New York? How is my book just casually hanging out with the lovely Empire State Building?? How am I typing this while also Muppet-flailing all over the place??!?!!? It remains a mystery tbh.
And recently, The Crimson Throne was named on of Amazon’s best books of 2025!
Look at our baby up there with Sunrise on the Reaping and all the other amazing books of the year!!! This was such a surprise and such an honor!
Recently, Sara and I completed our last two stops for the book tour—a visit to Bookmarks in Winston-Salem, and a weekend at the Carolina Ren Faire!
After a brief respite, I also got the chance to head to Denver, CO, for the NCTE convention. I did multiple signings and a panel on science fiction, which was so much fun! I also stopped by The Sexy Librarian in downtown Denver and signed a huge stack of books, so check them out if you get the chance!
After spending the weekend doing allllll the convention things, Jill Tew convinced me and Rosiee Thor to attend the Meow Wolf art exhibit. It was a multi-storied interactive journey through multiple dimensions—the exhibit was designed as part art, part mystery, with the premise being that multiple worlds converged and we had to trace back clues to find out what happened and how to stop a total reality collapse. It was amazing, and I will be going to more Meow Wolf exhibits in the future!
In addition to all the wonderful things happening for The Crimson Throne, the audio books for Museum of Magic and House of Hex are in production! Museum is out now, narrated by the brilliant Jacci Prior. You can get it wherever you get audio books (including your library!).
