It’s Jazz Fest in New Orleans and almost everyone I know will have house guests. This coffee cake is the perfect thing to have on hand. The flavor is complex and not too sweet and it’s great for special breakfasts and then snacking on the leftovers all day with coffee. I love the slight tartness of the raspberries, but you can try blueberries or chopped peaches or pears as well.
It can be assembled the night before and then baked the next day to avoid early morning cooking.
