Oatmeal cookies are very hard to get right and I often find them bland, dry or cakey. These are buttery and flavorful, with crisp edges. I always use raisin or cranberries in mine because that’s what I grew up with. I know oatmeal chocolate chip cookies have a lot of fans as well. Try the recipe with your favorite addition.
My goal with making gluten- free alternatives to my recipes is always to make them taste as close to the original as possible. With the addition of a bit more flour and a change in baking time, these come pretty close.
Make sure to cool the cookies completely on the baking sheet for the best flavor and texture.
