The fund for the agent-native era.
The Llama Beta Fellowship is our commitment to this generation. Twenty founders. Up to $2M per company. $40M committed to this batch alone. The Fellowship isn’t just capital — it’s a curated room where the operators, engineers, and category leaders shaping the agent-native era gather to help these twenty ship. From Fellowship, teams graduate into our early-stage portfolio; through late-stage SPVs, they gain exposure to the category leaders they’re building alongside.
Investing where conviction begins.
Friday 8/7 Snowflake X Beta Fund Agent & Token Economy Hackathon
Every agent needs a wallet. Every wallet settles in tokens. Build the first agent-native economies at Snowflake HQ.
This wasn’t a demo day. It wasn’t a panel. There were no pitches on the schedule.
977 people registration — a hand-filtered cohort of YC Startup School founders and Bay Area investors, put in one room for three hours on a Friday night in San Francisco. That was the entire format. The filter was the product.
Two conversations kept surfacing
1 · The YC-vs-non-YC path for AI founders. The consensus in the room was not that YC still matters — it’s that YC still matters for a shrinking set of specific reasons. Distribution, brand credibility with enterprise buyers, a signal to first checks. For a serious AI founder in 2026, the alternative paths (raise-first, ship-first, community-first) are no longer worse — they’re just different filters. The question builders are asking has shifted from “should I apply to YC” to “which filter do I want to be scored by.”
2 · What agent revenue actually looks like. Founders shipping agent products this year are landing on hybrid pricing — a low per-seat floor plus per-outcome or per-workflow-completion metering. Pure per-seat is leaving money on the table; pure usage feels punitive to the buyer. The founders in the room who crossed $100K ARR in <12 months all mentioned some version of “the pricing meeting was harder than the product meeting.
