Daniel Siad, the French modeling scout whose name surfaces more than a thousand times in the Justice Department’s Epstein files, was found dead at his home in France last month. Now two researchers say the same man spent years quietly running an anonymous X account that treated Donald Trump like a messiah.

Before you scroll any further, remember one thing: stories like this don't get boosted by algorithms or backed by billion-dollar media companies, they survive because readers choose to support independent journalism. There are no corporate owners, no advertisers calling the shots, just reader-funded reporting willing to cover the stories others won't. If you value sharp, independent journalism, become a paid supporter today. It takes less than a minute, and it makes all the difference.

Siad worked for MC2 Model Management, the agency Jean-Luc Brunel launched with substantial financial backing from Jeffrey Epstein. Brunel himself died by apparent suicide in a French prison in 2022 while awaiting sex-trafficking charges tied to the same network.

Siad’s emails with Epstein, released in the files, show him repeatedly recruiting young women and teenage girls by age, nationality, and measurements, offering photos and arranging introductions. French authorities opened an investigation into rape and human-trafficking allegations against him earlier this year, but he was never formally charged, and his lawyer insisted he “died an innocent man.”

In June, during a CNN interview that left him visibly nervous, Siad pushed back hard on any suggestion he had knowingly fed Epstein’s operation. He portrayed the relationship as strictly professional. Researchers Katie Chenoweth, a Princeton associate professor, and writer Bekah Day say that version of events is questionable.

“I know that sounds unbelievable. So let’s walk through it,” their report begins.

“Before his death, Daniel Siad was operating a X/Twitter account called ‘Thiley.’ On multiple occasions, Daniel Siad posted videos showing his face, including one uploaded in February 2026 – just months before his CNN interview,” the report states.

“In that video, he discussed his role in Jeffrey Epstein’s operation, portraying himself as someone who had also been victimized rather than as the real perpetrator he was. The themes closely mirrored what he would later tell CNN, although the February 2026 video presents an even more favorable version of events.”

In case you missed it:

=More than 200 posts were preserved on the Wayback Machine. Among them: messages calling Trump “the best President ever” and “our saviour.” The rest of the feed, according to the researchers, was dominated by praise for French right-wing figures, strong support for Israel, graphic anti-Muslim imagery, and repeated anti-Islam commentary.

“…it was filled with posts supporting Donald Trump, content promoting figures associated with the French right, frequent posts expressing support for Israel, graphic videos and images portraying Muslims negatively, as well as repeated anti-Islam misinformation and commentary,” the report reads.

“These posts began shortly before Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest and mysterious passing, and were shared up until the month before he died. (The profile went down in June of 2026, Daniel Siad died in July of 2026).”

Siad’s death removes one more living witness who spent years in the middle of Epstein’s European recruitment operation. French prosecutors say their broader human-trafficking probe continues without him.
